I will be hosting the venue , food and lodging, and give advice about flights and ground transportation. Suggestions and assistance are welcome. I would like someone else to be in charge of running the logistics of the games/tournament. Maybe the Friday night game could count, sort of, one of those deals where you take your best two performances (one game Friday night, two games on Saturday), so if you miss Friday night you can still qualify for whatever the setup is on Sunday? Also, what will we do when the number of people that show up isn't equally divisible by 7? Hmmm, maybe the people that are used to playing live games could play in two F2F games at once?!

I'll throw my name in that hat for now. I have trips in April and March, so the later in June, the better, but I'd probably have to travel on friday, so hopefully that won't disqualify my for saturday games (and hopefully I'll get to play all day saturday, regardless of whether I win or lose). Boston is quite a trip, I may need to fly, which I would prefer not to. Anyone else come up with a more mid-western venue? Draug & I live in Cincy... someone lives in Columbus... honestly, Columbus in July is the Origins conference, and a big dip tourney is already setup there (with prizes). Just giving out other options...

So, Dan-I-Am, are you a professional meteorologists/scientist/stormchaser doing research? Or just an avid tornado chaser for the love of the sport?

@Draug: I'm a senior meteorology student at Oswego State in Upstate New York but we offer a summer class where go out there and research severe weather, launching weather balloons and what not. I would love to be a professional stormchaser though, that would be amazing!

Columbus is usually done with Origins, the big boardgaming Con there every year. If you can do Columbus, how about greater Cinci? There is enough of us around here to play a game some Saturday and my house has three bedrooms, a pantry, two batsh, a full basement, a garage... Lots of places to disappear to and chat.

Yeah I think Origins only hosts World Dip Con every other year or so. I missed it last summer =(
I live in Columbus, and I'm not sure I could get to Boston. I also have a wedding June 11th and graduate either the 10th or the 12th. Cincinnati would be feasible though.

I was just thinking any ol' weekend that seven of us within driving distance of Cinci, Columbus, or Indy could get together. Basically a big triangle with about 100 miles between each corner point.
