I am of the belief that if we run more tournaments, run more open games, drop the ridiculous RR requirements, and generally get more active and open to new players as a community as opposed to recommending a million things that the mods and our one (1) developer should be tasked to do that we will be better off. I can go into more detail, but honestly, if you want something to be done in a tournament, just do it.

Many complain of lower RR due to NMR's when they first joined. I don't think new players realize how NMR's will hurt their ability to join games later.

A a big message at the top of every game board warning about NMR's could significantly reduce NMRs: "Failure to enter and save moves before any turn expires before the game concludes will hurt your Reliability Rating and thus your ability to join future games! Plus, the more turns you miss the more your RR will suffer."

Fewer NMR's would improve quality of games and help new users keep higher RR's so that they are less frustrated when trying to join new games.

Just checked out "New game" and I didn't see an option for not allowing bonuses to be used. Is there any way I can play a game and know for sure that someone can't buy the ability to cheat?

We elected a dorm mom this year and she knocks on my door every few days to check that I'm doing my homework. It's great.

Please don't change the map to be interactive. I much prefer the drop-down list, and it's one of the reasons I left PlayDip to come here.

The mobile site has worked just fine for me. I haven't experienced any problems either on my iPad or my LG T-mobile phone.

The interactive map on vDip is an option you can use, not something you have to use. I find it great for larger variants where you have a lot of units, or for gunboat when you're planning out moves on the gameboard over a short time before readying up.

Mobile has been great for me, so no one else can really complain because I'm using an iPhone 4s.

I like Mafia - but it *dominates* the front page, and frankly many good players why are active seen to play more Mafia then they do Diplomacy. Self defeating to the site. Mafia needs it's own sub page

We're thinking of having log in default to the forum and changing the site name to webMafia.com, with Diplomacy as a side game. As Mafia is way more popular online; it could draw us a far larger revenue base for the new adblock-evading popup advertisements we're bringing in.

I was thinking of making webMafia... but I would rather host it on my current site, startledgoose.com

Krellin is right. I doubt anyone ever imagined mafia would become this big on here. I dont know if pushing it somewhere else is a solution. Maybe if there was a 6 month hiatus on it, it would bring diplomacy back to life.

Im pretty sure ghug, bo and HR have played a combined total of mafia games this,year which far exceeds how many diplomacy games theyve played. If yer playing 2 dip games in 9 months but playing 7 mafia games lol...
