F Sev move to ?
Can a fleet in Sevastopol move along the coast to Bulgaria or Constantinople? Or is it limited to movement into the black sea and Romania?

So I just got my permit today, and I'm wondering what some of your favorite cars are. First cars? Absolutely terrible piece of crap cars? Any cars, but a story to go along with them is appreciated:]

all moves are ready, but the game does not continue
In game 14191 we have all placed our orders, and all have the green ticks to confirm this, but the game is still waiting for the time out before continuing. It's been doing this for quite a few turns by now. What can we do?

What percentage of games have a winner?
I was wondering what the probability was that in any given game you would win. I thought it was just one divided by seven, which gives you 14.285714 repeating %. But then I remembered that games can end in a draw. But I don't know what percentage of games end in a draw, so I couldn't advance further. Without this statistic, we can't say much more than that you have a less than 14% chance of winning.

We'll be using the 1816 rule book, so make sure you read up because the rules changed quite a bit in the last 200 years.

I'll start us off by using the standard Dutch opening (munich to belgium).

I move to Albania.

Pete U (293 D)

girmo - that is a legal move, although you have left it open for me to move to

Sweden

via the Neutral Loop
LeoDaVinci (170 D)

I move to Marseilles via the Loopedy Loop
girmo (100 D)
13 Nov 09 UTC
I move to Black Sea, so you cant move to Armania (rule iii, page 16, second adition), not that anyone would want to move there anyway.

I move to Armenia, using Proximity Spelling (B)
StevenC. (1047 D(B))
13 Nov 09 UTC
I move to Eastern Mediterranean via the Pirate convoy rule, thus invalidating Pete' s move into Armenia and dislodging Girmo's unit in Black Sea. Now, since it's impossible for other players to stop me in time I safely make it into Ankara Crescent.....
OMGNSO (415 D)

StevenC: You've missed out the IBCM rule that allows me to move to Clyde and put you in Nidd for a couple of turns, so someone can stop you reaching the target.
LeoDaVinci (170 D)
13 Nov 09 UTC
Are you kidding me? We were specifically told to use the 1816 rule book which means I can invoke the Armada variant and move from Liverpool to Spain and bounce you out of the Ankaran Crescent with support from Moscow via the 'Light Brigade' precedent.

Sneak move to Cappadocia
StevenC. (1047 D(B))
13 Nov 09 UTC
OMGNSO, don't forget the Missile Defense shield rule which allows me to invalidate the ICBM rule when I'm close to Ankara Crescent. So, I can still move freely....

LeoDavinci, the Armada variant cannot be used when I invoke the Storm Rule, meaning you cannot move to Spain for 3 turns.
Pete U (293 D)
13 Nov 09 UTC
Hang on, unless we use the 1816 rules with the Nostradamus Extensions, ICBM and Missile Defense aren't in play. As parrallelopiped has accepted Leo's move, StevenC has not made it to AC despite the post hoc Storm Rule, and is in Nidd. Spain is still out of play for 3 turns though, and the next move must follow from Cappadocia
imafool (100 D)
13 Nov 09 UTC
I thought you guys were using 1816 rule book. There is no ICBM rule. And StevenC. it is two turns that LeoDavinci can't move to Spain.

So, to keep things simple

Finland
imafool (100 D)

It was change to three in the 1904 rule book.
pootercannon (326 D)

@StevenC.

The Missile Defense Shield Rule was never finalized. And the penalty for quoting unfinalized rules is to spend the next 4 turns in North Africa with nothing to drink. (Swiss Revision, 1874, page 79, subsection 4, paragraph 2ii).

Mmmmmmmm! This Kool-Aid sure is delicious!

As far as I can work out, we've moved from Cappadocia to Finland. This allows me, by rule 36 of the 1816 rulebook to double back on myself to get to:

tnecserC araknA

Taking the game.
Parallelopiped (691 D)
13 Nov 09 UTC
I challenge the move under rule 39b - there was insufficient reindeer action in Finland to allow the double back. I demand a return to Munich Central Station or a five run penalty.
girmo (100 D)
13 Nov 09 UTC
I can get two moves, because of the Taxi Tax rule. So I can move to Sibiria via train. Than the path to Budapest is open and I can use the mafia rule for my next turn (Gungster varient, p.23, rule 5 D).
I an so close to winnig.

I move to every plot of land in the game with 6000000 armies under rule 69 section 12 subsection II clearly states that "one country can immediately win the game if they time the 'Humangeno bomb' correctly." The Humangeno bomb is 6000000 armies all under my control on every plot of land

Bad timing I'm afraid. I move to Naples to take advantage of the late autumn sunshine.
Le_Roi (913 D)

Well, due to the leave of absence rule, I am able to return and, in doing so, move that unit to Berlin, and convert it to an army.

I can form an army at Ankara by night, so I can get an Asian horse (which are stronger than American horses, p. 47, second adition). use that new cavlary to make a civil war at India. All English units have to retrit.
Are we using the Norman or Saxon version of the barbaric rules?
martinck1 (4464 D(S))
14 Nov 09 UTC
Under the "Parallel Universe Version" dated 1783, I move English army New York to Washington to put England on 10 supply centers (or should that be centres?) and eliminate the final American army.
Parallelopiped (691 D)
14 Nov 09 UTC
Saxon variation (Appendix Beta of the 1816 rules). Army Berlin supports Sunbather Naples to Munich for the Oktoberfest. Barbarians and Asian horses all invited.
