i have been waiting for a legit tournament lemme join

I am interested but the several moves a day thing would perhaps be too much for me...at least at the moment.

Due to unforeseen time constraints, I must withdraw my application to enter the tournament. Have fun all!

After some reservations were expressed to me over PM, I'm willing to grant a tournament-wide pause from Christmas Eve til January 2nd without it coming out of people's pause time, for anyone who wants it.

PM's have been sent to players instructing them to create games and link to opponents. Each player should end up in 6 games, 2 against each group stage opponent. I will be regularly checking to ensure all games get underway. If you have any problems, please PM me about them.

Clarification: Obviously, "any problems" includes needing me to reallocate countries if you draw the same country in both games against an opponent!

Can I get a mentor for my games?

FTR - If you’re in my anonymous tournament and thus have vowed not to look at anyone else’s game history, you are allowed to look at your League opponents’ game history, but only for League play, *not* to circumvent my anonymous tournament rules (cough, cough, XORXES, cough cough).

Isn't the second tiebreaker by definition going to be a tie? If two players are tied in head to head, then they have to have the same number of Austria wins in head to head.

"Knockout Stage Tiebreakers: If the two legs do not produce a clear winner (either 1-0 or 2-0), then a first tiebreaker game will be played. If this game is also drawn, then a fourth game will be played - and only then will Austria advance in the case of a tie."

I assume the sides in the first tiebreaker are decided by random lot. If it goes to the second tiebreaker are the sides again chosen randomly, or do players switch sides from the first tiebreaker?

Yes, but if more than two players are tied, it may be different

How so?

For example, three players can be tied at a record of WTT, all tying against each other. One of those could easily have beaten both of the others with Austria, and lost to both as France.

But the second tiebreaker is in head-head games. So for 3-way tie "head to head" includes games that one was not involved. Got it.
