Additionally, the miller is a fairly traditional mafia game role. I don't know why you or anyone else would label it stupid. The twist here is the player doesn't know they are a miller (like in epic mafia I believe)

That's a pretty crappy attitude to have less than 2 hours in. Even if you have a VT there's still plenty of interaction with your fellow players. I don't think it warrants a vote yet but I mean being silent is almost worse than being dead

I must agree with @Krellin here. If we kill Jamiet and he is Vanilla town, at least we didn't give in to the mafia's pressure. If he was a miller, we helped the cops chance of correctly identifying the mafia. If he is mafia, we killed a mafia first turn. I can't see how killing him would go bad, unless he was lying and was town...

@reedeer1: Never be so sure in a vote so early. Jamiet has an interesting personality and losing a VT is still pretty bad. Anyway, I'm just popping in shortly and then heading off into the mist.

Also, for those getting on bb's back over his new style. I have to say that given my interactions with him between games he seemed to be very open to critique of his old style (which spammed the thread) and willing to change it. I feel that voting him over it is ludicrous, especially since he would have more an incentive to keep his old style if he was mafia.

Wait, what? How do you reach that conclusion here redeer? He's only lying if he ISN'T town. Not only that, but how could you know that the others voting for Jamiet at this point and contributing to the pressure aren't mafia? Worst case scenario if we lynch him is that Jamie is a PR claiming VT from the start, which I personally doubt, but is possible. It's definitely not that he's telling the truth and is town. Next, remember the fact that 10 players have received PMs saying that they are VT, and only 3 of those are Millers, and NONE of those players are mafia-aligned. So, assume he's lying and taking nothing else into account, it's 5-6-1 he's town PR-scum-amnesiac. Assume he's telling the truth and it's 100% that he's town, just 30% possibly a miller, which is still a town role.

I don't like his strategy and I think he's being an idiotic ass, but that doesn't excuse piss-poor logic trying to justify killing him.

reedeer, You're new this game, right? First game of forum mafia for you and all. Don't sheep me based on that. Just don't think that poor logic like that is going to get you anywhere other than the gallows.

And try to come up with or agree with specific reasons to kill someone, don't go around justifying a mislynch as though it's already going to happen or people will begin to think you know more than they do. Unless of course, you do know more about the scumteam and you want to share with the class. In that case, go ahead and tell us the names of all your compatriots.

Last game I saw something that I thought was sleeping which is where you tag your vote onto someone else's. in this case I think Warden is town, and so I am adding my vote onto his because I believe that he will vote anti Mafia. (Unvote is removing my vote from jamiet)

@reeder1, I don't think ##sheep is a valid voting option. If you want to sheep Warden you need to wait until he votes for someone and then vote whoever he has voted for. But I don't think sheeping someone is a very good idea this early. Make up your own mind. Warden may be Mafia and lead you to vote for a townie.

Yes, I'll be voting anti-mafia, but you don't KNOW that I'm not mafia. The only way you can know alignments at this point is by being mafia. Anyone can pick apart logic or reasoning. Town and mafia are both incentivized to do so. Just try to reach your own conclusions based on accurate information rather than poor logic.

@ND first vote I am not sure who to vote at all. I am not getting many messages from the people around me, and warden seems to be on the town side. maby I should vote no lynch, but I will only do that if I don't like who warden is voting for. In retrospect maybe I shouldn't have sheeped, but I don't yet know where to place my vote, so I will stick with that for now. Also a mafia wouldn't sheep right away... or would they...? my sheeping warden gives me the same chance of getting it right if I sheeped someone else randomly.

@reedeer That's true enough, I guess. And really quickly before I head out for a few hours with family for your silly question earlier, mafia can't kill themselves as it would violate rule 7, so your hypothetical situation would never arise.

@ghug I don't think he is capable of the levels of play he is at to not be a at least slightly better person to sheep than a random person. Like I said, if I see something better, I will change my vote.
