This is true postal mail, stamps and all. The game itself on the site would be gunboat forcing all communication to be via postal service and anyone caught using PMs or email would face serious penalties. 14 days for movement orders and 1 day for builds and retreats. The game would be 5 minute phases so abge could unpause on each due date, wait 5 minutes for the turn to run, then repause the game until the next run date and time.

Abge - for convenience in helping get it going, I would be happy to start it once we get seven.people confirmed and ypu cpuld be the last person to lpg in so you could.immediately pause it.

Why would you need a po box. jist hqve it sent to your office if you don't want to reveal a home address. Only 6 other people would have it anyhow.

I actually welcome people to attempt to use my home address for nefarious purposes. Google is awful about directing people here due to me living in an area where there are three totally different streets with similar names, and we have a crazy vigilant neighborhood watch. If I get TP'ed or whatever, I applaud the person industrious and determined enough to have done it.

Oh yeah of.little imagination. The damage that could be done with a home address without ever needing to visit the place... From subscribing you to thousands of magazines on a collect basis to getting you on a billion junk mail lists to possible identity theft with just a little effort.

No one wants to be me. Not too worried about identity theft. That tends to be best done to people with at least halfway decent credit scores.

I have signed people up to get Adam and Eve catalogs sent to their home addresses...like twenty plus years ago. I'm thinking that I'm not typically the sort to draw that sort of ire, especially as I haven't trolled the forums in months.

I want to, badly. Even a busy bastard like me can handle 2 week phases... let me sleep on in.

Comm. is limited to First Class letters and postcards. We don't want people who are willing to spend more money to have an advantage.

Agreed first class and postcards. Everyone can afford them.

Btw you can buy stamps in a roll of 100 at Costco. Makes it easy to never run out,.

Official Game Parameters: 5 WTA, Gunboat, 5min/phase

Variant Rules:

Move Phases will be 2 weeks long. Builds/Retreats will be 24 hours long. I will Pause and Unpause the game accordingly.

All communication must be done via postcard or letter sent through the USPS to the addresses posted by players.

If you need a pause, you must email the mods *stating exactly how long the pause will last*. The mods will notify the other players and players will respond with a Yea or Nay on the Pause. Refusing to respond in a timely fashion will result in the mods counting your vote as a Yea.

Considering nmring is effectively impossible in this format, I'm good with data in it.

How do you want to handle order submission? If it's by mail I can see the issue of wanting to wait for a letter to arrive vs getting your orders in, since the mail can be a day late sometimes is there going to be a fixed deadline for order arrival or a "postmarked by" date?
