Man that is low to even state that.
There are plenty of players who have grudges against others.But to kick them when they can't defend themselves is low.

Someone was drunk, who didn't end up getting banned, made 3 or 4 new threads ADVERTISE etc here, and then the ones who got banned took over and made another 2 dozen or so, pushing all the important threads off the page and I think locking some old ones. Then kestas came on and banned those 2 and deleted all the spam threads. New registrations locked keeps them from making multis, and locked game processing keeps people from taking over their 30 games.

That was me, I've added a bunch of time to the games they were in so we can sort this out without disrupting games.

The one time we had someone spam the forum in the past it was autogenerated accounts created for that purpose so my knee-jerk reaction is delete and ban, but abge pointed out that's not mod policy, so we'll figure out what's best to do.

Podium, I was kidding. Like at meetings where we nominate the people who aren't there so they cannot turn them down.

I saw all the posts and was thinking 'isn't this against the rules?' glad to see that mods caught on. It's a rule just like multi/meta and should be enforced. Kudos!

I wouldn't say harmless. There are a number of threads that are very active currently. Burying them creates an annoyance and ruins the fun a little. Intended to be harmless, yes, but harmless, not quite.

fortress is silenced for a week most likely the same thing with bo-sox, but they are both back in in their games i believe, fortress is for sure. and a quote i was asked to relay - "sandgoose suck a d**k" once agian not my quote but i will take any +1's from people who agree :) glad you're back guys ;)

Yep when people do that it's bound to drop threads which people might be interested in, and it'll lock older threads which should get more time.
The last couple of times the forum has been spammed it has been an automated attack, and once to try and lock a thread early

Anyway the mod policy is to silence rather than ban where possible, so they've been unbanned and had their points readded. Thanks to the guys who e-mailed me letting me know it was happening

Glad they are unbanned. The worst part is now we have to see the message indicators in all of the GB games until the game ends.

My point still stands. There should never have been a ban. It should have been a temporary silence while the mods discussed it and not a fucking up of games. Kestas fucked up for the first time ever with that one and now we all pay the price.

What price did you pay? They are both back in all their games.

2 jokers completely trashed the forum and kestas put a stop to it. Unlike most site owners, he freely admitted he was too harsh and reversed his initial decision. No one was inconvenienced other than me and kestas.

15 fucking days that give those on the losing side time to male the leaders have to wit to finish the losers off. I am.in one that might well have ended by Monday or at least mext Friday. Now I will probably have to wait 3 weeks to have it end. So I did pay a price. Do you deny that pain important this assets delay of satisfaction is a price I am.paying for Kestas not using common sense? And am I gonna get bammed for disagreeing with this stupid fuckup when Kestas had an easy way to halt the problem with a week silense that could have been extended orbeven made permanent after you all discussed it?

Wow autocorrect went bonkers at one point on that last one. And Kestas never apologized for fucking up our games nor did he admit he was wrong. He stood by his decision as it "gave the mods time to discuss what to do".

I was not aware games were still set to 15 days. In retrospect, perhaps you should have simply informed me of that so I could fix it rather than acting like a child.

Draug, you are a *voluntary contributor*, not a joint owner. This is still Kestas' site. Donating a few shekels does not give you any say in how this site is run, any more than my theoretical tithes to The Church would give me a say in how it is run. If you don't like that, you can start your own site - you could even use Kestas' open source code for it if you wanted. Throwing in a few dollars (less than an hour of your wages, if I'm not mistaken) for hosting fees does NOT give you the right to dictate how Kestas runs *HIS* site.
