"but dude, if you are suck a dick, I will stay away"
So, I recently saw two 'chums' of mine settle their argument by means of sucking dick. Is this an American thing or is it a new influence from the Latino community (whose stereotypical accent my 'chum' likes to impersonate in his typing)?

Game question
If a unit attempts to capture territory and it would successfully do so otherwise, but that unit must be destroyed because that player loses supply centres that phase, will the territory it attempts to move into be captured?

EoG- Final Game 1
http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=75338#votebar

Given that my other 'final game' didn't finish, this really did turn out to be my last on the site. It would have been nice to have soloed, and frustratingly I think I missed a couple of decent opportunities, but I'm still very pleased with the result, especially given my weak start! More later!!

Why is it that...
Everyone seems to think that the sole Biblical source outlawing gay marriage rests in Leviticus? I've seen this in my conversations with friends and classmates and also on this forum here. There are in fact a number of different places where the Bible outlaws gay marriage.

I'm not trying to argue for whether it is right or wrong in this thread. I just am curious as to why there is so much misinformation floating around.

It's mission-the efficient, egalitarian, utilitarian way to double world GDP.
I would have told them to replace "double world GDP" with cut poverty in half so that brain dead socialists would use worn out rhetoric to attack it.

Congratz JP. Ut, you are right, I am extremely disappointed. I feel like the game was given to England for some reason. He could have easily been stopped by France from taking tunis and Turkey could have chosen draw at any time and not lost. So in my opinion, the game was given to enlgand in this case. Sorry if this sounds like sour grapes but I would like to hear players motivation for not covering tunis or accepting at draw. I know it was annon and no one knew that england was not me, but it almost seemed like players decided they wanted the solo in the last game even if it was not them. All this is not to say JP is not a worthy champion. We all went through alot of games to get here and he is an accomplished player who did the best he could.
The Czech (39715 D(S))

I was France and I gave Turkey plenty of time to add his draw to that of mine and England's. He chose not to. I disbanded my fleet in MAO and let England flood in. ulytau still didn't draw. After the fall phase JP took his draw off the table and rightly so. The draw was there and ulytau thought he could solo. He didn't count on me making a point. BTW, if you go back and check the last set of orders I DID support ION to Tun with 2 fleets.
Trooth (561 D)
14 Mar 12 UTC
I just looked at the orders. Both French units supported turkish ionian sea into Tunis but it was not ordered. I am sad to see my shot at the title came down to that. as I said before, I am sorry to sound this way. I am a relative nobody on this site and I knew even as I soloed that game it guaranteed nothing. I also knew that this game could come down to a solo because no one had anything to lose after the other 3 games were finished and a solo was the only chance at stopping me. I am just disappointed because i dont feel everything was done to attempt to prevent this solo. Of course, others might say the same of my solo.
I think that ulytau wanted a solo in that game. Probably a little too much and that is what allowed JP his in.
ulytau (541 D)
14 Mar 12 UTC
I pushed my luck, knowing I didn't have anything to lose except the total SC count, but the final choice was not mine. I didn't throw the game.
ulytau (541 D)

ION-Tun was not a guaranteed success which is why ION supported NAf-Tun, BTW.
Trooth (561 D)
14 Mar 12 UTC
Czech, I totally agree with what you have said and i had just looked at the orders. I thought the writing was on the wall several turns ago and not accepting a draw surprised me. I was screaming at the screen draw, draw, draw! I assumed i would be not hold on to the lead, but I would just have liked the game to play out another couple moves if a draw was not going to happen.
Trooth (561 D)
14 Mar 12 UTC
I am sorry if i sounded like I am accusing anyone of throwing the game, i dont feel that way.

I need to clarify myself. so many turns went by i lost track. I see there was little for sure to do in the last turn. I was confused and still catching up. Once the english army made it into tunis there wasnt much to be done but guess.

I want to apologize. I should have waited to post anything unitl after i was able to study everything that happened. I was austria that game. my only plan once the other games were final was to try and do whatever i could to encourage a draw. I want to congratulate Jp again and all of the other 7 finalist and the other participants and most especially Geo for all the fun ive had with this opver the past months.

multiple breeds of sharks are getting together to have massive orgies leading to frightening hybrids! on a related note, global warming must be real because dc cherry blossoms came out a bit early, nevermind that snow in the sahara for the first time ever... or wait, maybe that snow proves global warming as well.

a youtube video that really rings true for me. particularly the part that says school sucks and the part that compares obama to hitler. only problem is that it sounds vaguely poetic, and poetry is gay.

Failure of Obama's Housing Market Policy
Why are home prices still falling in 2012 four years after their initial collapse?
Because the government wasted hundreds of billions if not a trillion dollars on futile attempts to manipulate the market and keep home prices up. What foolishness. The market can't be denied people- finger in the dike stuff.

Not my words but an interesting viewpoint
We should look to the antics of our own war addicted leaders with their mockery of democracy before we get involved in any other country. The West holds no moral high ground, while this state of enslavement to the economy of us, the people, exists, to interfere with other systems of rule. The veneer of legitimacy of our own goverments these days is no thicker than that of the Taliban

Legislating a Faith..
After reading some of the comments in the gay marriage debate I have come to wonder why certain faiths feel the need to legislate their morals. Do they feel that their way is the only way or is it just a method to control everything?
