Lord of Ultima
This was a thread in Vdip, but me, King Atom, and Drano019 is thinking of starting a Lord of Ultima, Webdip alliance. For those who know how to play, we are probably going to be starting as soon as a new English Server is opened... For those who don't know how to play, Server 60 would be a good experience-gathering game

Classic gunboat LIVE complaint

Very likely France and Germany are communicating/cheating. No reason why two people with 10 builds bordering each other would still be just chilling out sipping pina coladas like this.

Anti-ACTA hackers hack the Greek Ministry of Justice
"Anonymous" hackers against the ACTA act (something like PIPA and SOPA) took over the website of the Greek Ministry of Justice.

Ah, cool kanosha. I didn't really think our type would really be much for this game but good to know.

The firm I work at actually has a lot of not for profit clients, which is where I am getting most of my audit hours.

Senor in high school. Planing on majoring in civil, mechanical, or aerospace engineering. Depends on if I get into the college I want to for aerospace. Planning on minoring in physics hopefully that can be astrophysics.

I get this:

This web page is not available
The connection to www.vdiplomacy.com was interrupted.
Here are some suggestions:
Reload this web page later.
Check your Internet connection. Reboot any routers, modems or other network devices that you may be using.
Add Google Chrome as a permitted programme in your firewall or antivirus software's settings. If it is already a permitted programme, try deleting it from the list of permitted programmes and adding it again.
If you use a proxy server, check your proxy settings or contact your network administrator to make sure that the proxy server is working. If you don't believe you should be using a proxy server, adjust your proxy settings: Go to the spanner menu > Options > Under the Bonnet > Change proxy settings... > LAN Settings and deselect the "Use a proxy server for your LAN" checkbox.
Error 101 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET): The connection was reset.

carpenter has one year on his calender left before finishing as a msc-degree in process systems engineering (aimed at chemical engineering), somewhere in the outskirts in continental europe. carpenter starts internship at one of the most renowned companies in the industry in a few months.
carpenter is wondering what to do afterwards: multiple informal job offers have been recieved, but doesn't want to reject PhD-degree right-away.
@ abge - I would say stay local and work at IBM, but I have a few relatives who work there and it is quite literally a heart attack factory, so I'd shy away from that. But it does sound like you have lots of options.

@Eden - sounds like you're going through the same trend of thoughts I was a year or two ago. High school history teacher is gonna be my backup if I don't fly as an economist haha

"Semiconductors are cool but start churning out the SUPERCONDUCTORS!"

Semiconductors and superconductors are 2 completely different things. Also, we already have superconductors.
Diplomat33 (243 D(B))

Yeah I know that but not to the capacity of semiconductors.
abgemacht (1076 D(G))

"Yeah I know that but not to the capacity of semiconductors."

This sentence is pure nonsense.
Diplomat33 is either a tragically perfect example of how the system has failed, or is the reason why the system has failed. I can't decide.

One Million Moms, Zero Common Sense--Ellen DeGeneres Targeted by Anti-LGBT Group
http://news.yahoo.com/one-million-moms-jc-penney-fire-ellen-shes-173429894.html "Funny that JC Penney thinks hiring an open homosexual spokesperson will help their business when most of their customers are traditional families,"
Funny this should even be an issue in the year 2012...JC Penny will keep her on, but what does this say about the state of LGBT Rights in America?

Christian Just War Theory
I would like to hear the opinions of the community here at WebDiplomacy regarding Christian Just War Theory. Whether Atheist, Christian, or any sort of religious affiliation, your thoughts are appreciated. Does it concur with what Jesus taught? Is there room for killing in a Christian lifestyle if these conditions are met? Any and all thoughts are appreciated thank you.

Is this type of post allowed?
I am currently in a game with a terrible ally. Let me be more specific: they're not an evil stabber or an incompetent strategist, but they are simply a terrible ally. I don't know how else to describe it. I'm talking possibly the worst teammate I've ever had in any game, Diplomacy or other. Is it improper to discuss this here if I don't use names?
