There are very few things *within* a game that can be seen as cheating

Refusing to unpause is one of those few, right fig? However, refusing to draw or pause isn't. I do hope though, that someone forces the draw if ti continues as a stalemate for more than 2 or 3 full game years.

Well, I think you should let E/F kill Germany (sorry C-K) to make your loss smaller and then draw, as you are in a classic stale line position and can´t break it, neither France or England have any benefit stabbing each other, so this game can last forewer and nothing will happen. You can refuse to draw, but I gues if things stay the same after say 3 or 4 years a mod can/should force the draw.
Next time you take a CD country to get some easy points look better what are your real chances.

@ Happy, dont leave the game, get the draw. 50 is nothing with some of the games you can play on here. Get the draw, it does you GR's the world of good and its s decent outcome for very little effort.

Why does everyone say he was taking a CD country to get some easy points. It has been said repeatedly in this thread. Picking up a 17 center CD and getting the 1 center you need to win nets you 1/34th of the points you are risking. And clearly looking at the board it wasn't going to be easy.

This is completely different from picking up a 12 center CD that is in a prime position to stab a former ally. And if you end up with a three way draw you only lose 2% of the points you invested. That is easy points.

if it wasn't going to be easy then why did he join in?? i still don't see the point whether it is gaining 9 or not joining. he should have realized that it would be harder than he thought and not worth risking a loss of points for a measly 9

I read through the global chat of this game and I'm pretty sure that happyjo was looking for easy points and came to some very incorrect conclusions about the game.

happyjo is just an angry child upset that they won't throw the game to him. I hope they wind up taking SCs from him and eventually crush him. It would serve him right for being an ass.

Oh well, lets leave him to it. He made his decision, complained, people disagreed, he backed down, and is now playing on. Fair enough really.

Happyjo has actually been insisting that they concede the game to him by allowing him to take the 18th SC. WTF?

What do you mean JECE? The buy-in is different for people taking over CD nations.

Yep. The idea is you keep adding the extra points because your position is worth more than everyone else's when you join. Its rather like the other players getting a reward for the fact that you've taken over an advantage in their game.

Um, could you post a link to the game (GameID) please? I'd like to get a look at the map to see if it's an insoluble stalemate or not. Also, I second the whole "use diplomacy or vote draw"; you are not violating any rules, but you're holding up the game (which in itself is lulz-worthy ;) ......

Ah, I didn't go so far as to read the global chat. Just looking at the board I wouldn't have thought easy points so not sure why happyjo would have. But if he did then he did.
