Playing with less than 7?
Does anyone know if we are able to play a game with less than 7 people? And if we can, does anyone know how we go about doing that? Our current game will only start if we have 7.

Here is one of mine from a while back. I called it: The Social and the Private

We are a society of voyeurs.
Where once an inky curtain was drawn.
Fragile as gossamer.
Now a glowing window stands.
Inviting us to just take a peek.
A reporter at the door asks:
“Can I photograph your living room?”
As if he can capture the essential ordinariness of it
and like a trophy, mount it as a center piece.
Page four.
Under some headline that reads. “Ordinary Families Across Canada…”
Doesn’t he know that the ordinary vanishes under the limelight.
Light so bright that it bleaches away the ordinary until all that remains is that which stands out.
Silently pad through the lives of celebrities.
Soaking up every detail
Like a parched man guzzling water.
Until the well runs dry
Desperate for me we grab our shovels and dig
we act shocked when they come away full of dirt.
The nude photo.
A secret liaison.
Do we set our shovels down.
Replace the disturbed soil.
Walk away.
Leave the house we trespassed in.
The life and memories we trampled over in our urge to know.
No.
We bend down and breath in the scent of the disturbed soil.
As if we were a man who though to never seen land again.
We have normalized stalking…
after all, lives are supposed to be shared.
A gaggle of teen gather around a computer.
Laughing as they traverse a backlog of pictures
A life on display.
Is it any surprise we are voyeurs.
When we are exhibitionists
Why should privacy of another hold meaning.
For those who hold nothing private.

Almost everything I write feels lonely without music, but here's one anyway:

Pause to feel the earthquake
Hold you ‘til we know there's nothing wrong
Doesn't mean there’s nothing wrong
We can sit and watch the sun rise
But now we have just hours ‘til it sets
So hit me with your epithets
Old cards
Trapped
Trapped in time
I crawl down from the roof alive and wonder
Can I find both eyes again?
If, not when

Leave the city down I-5
Rain drones out the music and the moans
I can't hear the radio
Love without a destination
We do ourselves premeditated crimes
The while drinking too much wine
Why here?
Why not a hundred years from now?
We'll sit in the sun or in the shade and waste away the day until it ends
If, not when

The thrill of it will chill me to the bone
An epitaph of want
Solidify the stream
Sing a song, inflammatory notes
A voice you'll never hear
Too real to be a dream
A firefly we both let float along
With hopes it lights the way
Impossible to tame
So we stoke the dying coals
‘Til someone wants it more
Wind blows the sparks to another flame

Speaking without reservations
Can I catch melancholy in a jar?
Communications reservoir
Collapsing by the fireside
Try to remember what we did to pass the time and drawing blanks and miming thanks
For letting me forget
Much as I don’t like to forget
Love without a destination
We do ourselves premeditated crimes
The while drinking too much wine
Old tricks
New, unencumbered dogs
We'll sit in the sun or in the shade and waste away the day until it ends
If, not when

Lavenders green, dilly dilly
Lavenders blue.
You must love me, dilly dilly
'Cause I love you.

I'm a little curious as to why Brainbomb is referencing an old folk song, about a man insisting he has the right to be loved by a girl solely on the basis that he fancies her, when talking about his ex.

Either there's a deep trauma still going on, or something has been lost in translation. Possibly both.

Age tells us everything we don’t want to know
Something as frightening, but beautiful as shimmering, white, snow
It tells us what’s right and wrong, fights to put our lives on display like a show
But who do we owe, what do we know, where should the punches we throw go?

Age goes hand and hand with time, the lowest of low blows
Time gives you hope when your boat isn’t afloat
Then it ties the knot in that rope it so cleverly around your throat

So take note
I may be too young to truly know what to throw in this letter
to a son I don’t yet have anything to owe
I just hope you can tote what I wrote for the better

Be a goal setter
Never ever sever what you get or you’ll be a debtor
If you’re a fisher be a netter, an athlete be Jeter..
Or Jordan

Just jab your dreams judiciously
With a jocund, jovial jump of glee
Be happy, don’t let anyone see you on your knees
If you want to sail the seven seas, then sail those seas

Seize the heaven of your reality
Because there’s seven billion humans,
and none can ever be what you can be

It won’t be easy, not until you hit those seas
You’ll feel the breeze and for the first time ever, you’ll feel free
You’ll finally see why I felt the need to write this piece

At least I hope you’ll see
I hope you’ll grab that rope from the hands of time, look him in the eyes and say no
Grab that hour hand, that falling sand, that damn clicking contraption and
Never say you can’t again

You’ll hear that tiny hand click again and again 2 and a half billion times in your lifespan
Just don’t ever let that rapidly spinning hand
hand over hands of ever spanning wasted plans that it devours in its sand

So count the seconds
Remember the blessings during every minute
Pin it on the hours
Power through the days
Wait out the years
And never fear life

It’s a fight worth winning
So make your life a life worth living
Accept what time is giving but never let time say it’s winning
I’m hoping that when you’re reading this you can think up a new beginning

Time is an impenetrable web, and I think I might just start unspinning

If wanderlust is in your veins, and you are on a diet of staying home; you will need more than just a weekend getaway. You will need to drive to the lake every morning for a month and stare at geese just to remember that theres actually birds out there that came here from Canada. A bird is more willing to see the world than you.

You will need to draw maps to places that dont exist.

You will need to kiss strangers.

You will take a baseball bat to your television just to remember fuedalism ended serfdom.

You will need to marry a plate of spaghetti just to learn how to share noodles with yourself.

Just take a vacation every month instead and become a sand dollar.

Wrote it tonight

I’ve got a friend acting like they’re at their end
Because of a sickness they can’t amend
Life has a broad definition but no matter how you bend
You’ll see that she’s at life’s rear end.

A seemingly shallow sea sees me make meager ends meet
as I rigorously retreat ridiculously into a steaming red sea
too saline to show any reflection of me

But I’ve got a scheme, or maybe, rather a lure
To pour those poor stewards of the sea into a place even our health can afford

And that’s where things might not make sense.
So gather your thoughts and listen in so that your thoughts will eventually condense

This girl has dents in her immune system most people can’t comprehend
Not that she’s at days end, but I feel for the pain she’s in.
When your eyes finally awaken you may see it goes beyond the seas
but also the lakes in
painstaking take ins.

Because the seas have dens and pockets filled with things that sicken.
But it’s those lakes that take me to another place
A place I disgrace
A place that pulls her from grace

That ensues aches that travel in the middle lane
Stains traveling slowly through the veins and arteries
Up the main parts of her body

The knees, the feet, and the teeth
The arms, the head, and the grief
Seemingly seething to its peak until it finally reaches her cheeks

Those adorable, joy bringing cheeks
That bring me meek consent to be happy
That smile making my days worth while
But this pile
Of vile
Unworthwhile travails stacked up like floor tiles

Is malifocently fleeing away with that smile
With my joy, my files and square miles upon miles of versatile ailes
Influenced and shaped by her truly great name
With absolutely no goal when it takes aim

For my heart when her piercing green eyes dart
And break me apart
So pick me a part

In curing this sickness
The thickness of my heartfelt agony in this dead sea is endless
So if you can’t pin my pinless, nonexistent comfort while she suffers
Forgive me for no longer having my buffer

For lashing out,
For not smiling when you pass,
For shedding a tear anytime you throttle the gas,
Rather than fighting back.

Forgive me for having all my glee taken from me
For no longer wanting to be free from the grips of sadness
For giving up trying to flee. Because that smile was all that brought me
That little spark I needed every day just to ignite something

Forgive me for selfishly spouting me, me, me.
Forgive me for worrying
For loving
For adding to the untame flame

Forgive me for your disbelief in allowing me a release
Forgive me
Forgive me

Blank hands

I consider myself lucky
There are only stars above
Skies arent wastelands

Wonder still exists
Memories can still take form
Even from the caveman

Lightning swarms and the air boils

Amens and straw bins amid and in wacked thin by sky hiding closets in the tide while its tin foil

Got lit up ignited from mankinds toil furnace sins til brain rain begins rage blew on cavemens sails like a maven in a drain fin

Burnt up trash in the ozone layer
Wanted healthcare not single payer
Just give me life give me earth
And chance at a rain prayer

Fog front

You were terrible
4th down fail
On a botched punt
Rerun
Network gone back in sodom
But not heussein
He gone
Jumped ship like the shrimp
With a mud vein

Uh oh woopsies
We didnt find a thing
Burning crops ethanol stops full of soppy old mops pine drops and lil wayne drank himself drank til his brain stops
Way to sing
You want a lollipop?

Blank hands
Whats an ocean gonna halt without salt and sand?
You think these minds arent burnt and its welcome back cotter? Hell naw its dolphin slaughter I just wanted a life like harry potter. Now im living in a oil spilled lake like an otter.

Eminem's wordplay/vocab/rhyming technique is pretty incredible if you look into it in depth.
I'm trying to take a step towards getting a bigger vocab/not having to look up rhymes.

Great piece BB :) I always like the bizarre pieces with a deeper meaning behind them. I'd like to see that third verse soon

The butterscotch skies were quiet, the amber sands were too.
The rocky surface silent,
what is a man to do?

Alone atop a ridge line,
My helmet visor fogged with steam.
I peered across the red desert, my eyes searching for my team.

4 sol since they left on mission,
to investigate an anomaly.
Here I am wishing,
they would return to accompany me.

Alone on the face of Ares,
a truly Martian home indeed.
I peered into the distance,
as my tears begin to bead.

I lower my head in defeat,
And I return to my empty hab.
I power on the com terminal,
and give professionalism a stab.

I report that the mission,
which should have returned two days ago,
has been delayed by an unknown source,
and survival chances are low.

I report that my team,
If they are still alive out there,
are functioning without oxygen.
Possibly victims of a solar flare?

Earth responds with silence,
Enforcing the fact I am alone.
Finally they respond,
They will not bring me home.

I look out on the Martian hills,
Which surround my little cage,
Not a friendly soul for miles,
Just the curse of Ares rage.

526 days I'm left here alone to bleed
Rations for a team of three that feeds each one for 100 days successfully
Now let's see

I realized what happened, why things went south
I felt as if I had ripped the man's heart from his chest and digested it, the inside and the out.

That red anomaly took one look and me and I knew what he end would be

But Sage took one leap saving what was left of the hope stripped team

Sage, the legend, the VIP.
Yet here I am, here I stand
Sipping this delicious soup

That dead man's soup
That crunchy, steak soup...

Crunchy..?
Why's it crunchy

What I see I can't believe
An ultimate collection of grief
Build up inside
and everything gives out, durst

Cross bone popped up to the top
I wiped my mouth seeing blood covering my hand

I just want to see that red sand again

I can't stand
This land
This spacesuit
This scientific pursuit
So here goes nothing
I'll open the door and my face will start puffing
It'll be quick
No huffing
No screams
Even if there were no one would see
Or hear
Because no one's here

Mark my grave when the next expedition is ready.
Mark me a traitor

Sent in a mission meant to fail
But who knew it'd be so miserable
So meaningless
So.. red

Someone give me a name for this one...

Look towards what you can’t see when you look into that smog
Tell yourself it’s nothing but a fog
Like comparing the ghastly screams of a child to the croaking of a frog
We told ourselves we wouldn’t be like Hong Kong but that was before God was gone

It’s all so wrong
But keep those thoughts among yourself
Or else you’ll be thrown off that dusty shelf filled with the rest of us.

So keep saying to you and everyone you know that there’s no smoke
No smog, just fog,
serendipity rather than a throng of wrong actions in a peculiar way that would make any grey alien race say,

“Look what you’ve done,
All because as a race you only cared if you were number one
Never happy unless you’ve won
Even now
Wow
How, just how
How could it be
I can’t believe
My eyes
I look at the sky
Wondering why
Just wondering why
How
When
How fast
Who
I’m leaving this planet of misery that simply fills shoes.”

And as they zoom away you celebrate
You say we’ve won, once again
You throw that bottle out of the window
You step on the throttle
You run the AC
Blast that FM
Look at me
It’s ok, it’s not a sin
To destroy this planet given to me
Just let me free
Just let me go
I’ll just call that exhaust ash snow
Leave me alone

Here comes the emissions
From that gas, Still haven’t shroved
From the masses with their stoves
With their clothes
With their hatred, a lack of love
So open up
To the tailpipe
It’s just some fog
Just some snow
Just another day to say anything goes

I said a hip hop
Hippie to the hippie
The hip, hip a hop, and you don't stop, a rock it out
Bubba to the bang bang boogie, boobie to the boogie
To the rhythm of the boogie the beat
Now, what you hear is not a test I'm rappin' to the beat
And me, the groove, and my friends are gonna try to move your feet
See, I am Wonder Mike, and I'd like to say hello
To the black, to the white, the red and the brown
The purple and yellow, but first, I gotta
Bang bang, the boogie to the boogie
Say up jump the boogie to the bang bang boogie
Let's rock, you don't stop
Rock the rhythm that'll make your body rock
Well so far you've heard my voice but I brought two friends along
And the next on the mic is my man Hank
C'mon, Hank, sing that song, check it out
Well, I'm Imp the Dimp, the ladies' pimp
The women fight for my delight
But I'm the grandmaster with the three MCs
That shock the house for the young ladies
And when you come inside, into the front
You do the Freak, Spank, and do the Bump
And when the sucker MC's try to prove a point
We're Treacherous Trio, we're the serious joint
A from sun to sun and day to day
I sit down and write a brand new rhyme
Because they say that miracles never cease
I've created a devastating masterpiece
I'm gonna rock the mic 'til you can't resist
Everybody, I say it goes like this
Well, I was coming home late one dark afternoon
A reporter stopped me for an interview
She said she's heard stories and she's heard fables
That I'm vicious on the mic and the turntable
This young reporter I did adore
So I rocked some vicious rhymes like I never did before
She said, "damn, fly guy, I'm in love with you
The Casanova legend must have been true"
I said, "by the way, baby, what's your name?"
Said, "I go by name of Lois Lane"
