All I'm asking for is a simple *acknowledgement* that complaints were received.

And, as best I can tell, there a great lot of athiests around here that shouldn't really care much about that religious holiday anyway - so I'm a little offended if people that deny the religion are taking advantage of it's benefits while insulting those that believe. Kind of tired of that sort of blatant hypocrisy....but that's another topic.

Anyway - let me ask your opinion, Jamie: You know my record around here, and you also know that since I am a user, and since I am talking on a thread, then you know that whatever crimes I have committed on the site are paid for. Do I, therefore, have as much right as anyone else to file a complaint when I read thread content that offends my beliefs, or when I read thread content that is assualtive to other's beliefs, disabilities, age, race or nationality? Do I have a right to bring these up and *expect* the users -- all of whom should know better - to be dealt with.

Because -- I specifically have filed complaints against people that have made disparraging, insulting, or otherwise offensive comments on ALL of those above listed topics, in addition to comments that were simply personal assualts directed at another user, which were in no way a contribution to the conversation.

Should I expect these users to be dealt with, despite the fact that I filed them? Should I expect this to actually be the fair community they say it is? Should I actually expect that they will hold true to the oft-spoken word when they insist that will not allow such behavior?

I'm inferring that some of our older Christian white American users may have felt abused and neglected on the forums. We should all be ashamed of mistreating such an abused and powerless demographic. Let justice be done.

@DO, I used to be sarcastic all the time on this forum. I was told nobody could tell and it was taken seriously on enough occasions that I gave up and treat everyone who says something dumb seriously. Since a fair percentage of them are taken that way. And while your post was sarcastic, it isn't clear to all members, so I clarified for those who don't know better. Since mods not muting members isn't written down anywhere.

@Nyghthype -- No, your suggstion is wrong. That was the OLD way the forums worked. In the new forums over the last year or two, it has been made perfectly evident that nobody is to be offended - that personal attacks are not to be tolerated, that offenses against any protected class is not allowed, etc. Muting, which would *seem* to be the way to handle it, is not a sufficient answer to the mods. Therefore, if they think that eveyrone must be treated like a child, and nobody is ever to be offended, then I will do my best to make sure that when I see instances in which people may be offended, I will call it out. I *owe* it to you all to do this, because I care about your colletive sensitive souls.

Actually, it is my intention to fully work for he establihsment and call out every case of offensive behavior I run across, in the true hopes of corrective action being applied in an *equal* manner against all offensive behavior. And since offense if a nuanced thing....since one mans joke is another mans deep insult...then clearly all offensive behavior **MUST** be treated with the harshest punishment, I would think....so as to protect the weak-minded and easily offended, who may possibly be the same that are too afraid to stand up and defend themselves.

So....I'm *all in* for the "tyrannical" establishment, though frankly I resent the idea that the hard-working mod team should be classified in such a negative light, and I really think that you ought to reconsider your words. The mods work hard...and you throwing insults at them is, frankly, not appreciated.

jmo -- I fully confess that I have a jaded past, and I likewise admit that I have suffered punishment for my behavior - which you are *fully* aware of.

Now, if this is indeed the fair community that it claims to be, then paying for my bad behavior means that they are over - and that while I am an active member I have the same rights to NOT be offended as everyone else.

Public Notice: The mods have replied that they have recieved my concerns and will begin to address them. Just wanted to make sure you are all aware that the mods are doing their job in a presumably fair manner.

In fairness to Krellin, if you read the forums I think that you will find that many people do jump on him with the intention of getting a rise out of him. They know that they can get it, so they do.

Also, Krellin should not be made to feel as though he is not appreciated on the site. That is destructive and does not benefit anyone. No user who abides by the rules has anymore right to be here than any other user who also abides by the rules. To laugh off what he is saying is out of line, in my opinion.
