Contracts
Does anyone on here regularly look over or write contracts for a business (technically under Illinois law)? I have a new contract written up for my company I could use a hand and I don't wanna pay someone a brand new car an hour just to tell me it's all good. I would love you forever if you have the credibility to help and are willing to help <3

I'm majoring in computer science, and may also potentially dual major in that and mathematics. Any advice about either of the majors or college in general? Thanks.

"Burkini" Bans in France
Apparently, France is banning all sorts of religious garb, specifically targeting Muslim women, in the name of personal freedom and cultural values. Critics claim that hijabs, burkas, and other similar face or head coverings are repressive of women and are not fitting with the culture of openness in Western Europe. Thoughts?

What happens when you mute someone?
In a game. Do they notice this? Does it return their messages to sender? What if you unmute them later, do you suddenly receive all messages sent in between?

"Conservatism" and military spending
Something that puzzles me. A lot of people who call themselves conservative are generally big on pushing the small-government, "tax is theft" line. At the same time many of those same people are huge supporters of the armed forces.

How is decided which nation I get in a game?
I couldn't find an answer to this in the FAQ section.
When entering a new game, does the system distribute the nations to the players randomly? How is it decided who gets which nation? Is there a possible way of influencing the distribution, setting up preferences etc. or is it always totally random?
Thank you for answers.

Boston Massacre Tournament Sept 24-25 Cambridge, Mass
The Boston Massacre was the first F2F tournament I ever played in and was a big inspiration when I created the webDip F2F Tournament and The Boroughs. I'm very happy to be reviving this tournament along with Valis, 2nd, and RLH. For more info, check out www.BostonMassacreDiplomacy.com. Hope to see you there!

"Replacing it will just mean those that can afford to lobby Congress will get themselves removed from the new tax code."

So you are as pessimistic as I am...

"The last tax proposal that would have helped me was under Bill Clinton and that never made it into a tax reform bill."

But you pine for the Clinton regime and somehow think that they are going to bring Balance to the Tax Code, in spite of their obvious propensity for pay-for-play politics and favoritism while they've been temporarily sidelined from the Oval Office. This clearly puts you under the "has some pathetically naive delusion that the system can be reformed if we just vote for the right people" category, alas.

@Krellin, your post craked me up.

Is religion and their belifes the problem? Many have slaughtered masses of people just because they "believe" in a god different from there's. When I "believe " I mean the don't "know".
If a book of stories are needed to guide you in knowing whats right and wrong. Then I would think that person was never righteous to begin with.

Ignoring the awful spelling, you're attacking a strawman. Neither krellin nor anyone else ever brought up religion in this thread.

@Jamie -- "I enjoy paying taxes. With them I buy... civilisation."

Funny thing is, the locations I visit in which there are the fewest tax payers, and the most number of people sucking off the gove/ment teet....display the absolute LEAST amount of what most people would consider "CIVIL-ization..."

So your argument fails completely, dear old chap.
TrPrado (461 D)
25 Aug 16 UTC
The way you phrased that makes it look more like a reinforcement than a refutation of his argument, krellin :)

TrPrado, not at all.

Taxes are a necessary evil, I agree with that in a general sense.

the problem is a Libtard like Jamie, heart-of-gold, lover of mankind and all that shit, think we should just collect more and more taxes so benefit the "lesser" among us, blah blah blah...

Reality is, the more we tax in order to transfer wealth to the "lesser among us", the less they do, the more they stay stuck in the cesspools of less-than-civilization that get created in our welfare cities, you get generational poverty with less and less ambition to leave it, increasing rates of crime, generally speaking increasing rates of what good folk would consider decent morality , and just general overall decay.

People that, in the absence of society and in the event of full-on evolutionary survival of the fittest would just do the human race a survivor and no longer be able to reproduce an pass on their less-than-effective gene pools, instead become the dominant breeders!

It's just a mess...

"Reality is, the more we tax in order to transfer wealth to the "lesser among us", the less they do"

Do you have any evidence for this massive generalization of between 90 and 95 percent of the country and an even greater percentage of the world population?

When you travel about the place, how do you know instantly who is a taxpayer and who is not? Do you have some kind of special device?

If you think you can tax your way to equalization, you've been hitting the crack pipe too hard. We live in a capitalist society, not socialist, communist or fascist. Entitlements like welfare have driven takers to take more, and feel they are entitled to more for nothing. That's bullshit. It's not even Steven, they will always be people with more than others. Welfare as it sits now should be abolished. Yes, people have hard times and yes, the govt should help in the short term, but after that, those people need to find jobs and be productive parts of society. If they want to continue on welfare, they should have to work for the govt at below minimum wage, so the govt just doesn't keep giving for nothing in return. Maybe then, people would get off their asses and find real employment.

You millennials are really a piece of work. You yap, yap yap, about all the injustice in the world and yet you live at home and do nothing but take. Your generation and its legacy will leave nothing but posted ideals on some social media site. I'll be long since dead, and tossing in my grave that my children will have to deal with your idealistic shit. Sad.
TrPrado (461 D)
