@ghug ... Like you said, we have thousands of years of scientists. At this point, one of the most important scientific contributions one could make would be to popularize and publicize science while deflating religious mythology as popular belief. That's exactly what pop culture scientists are doing.

He's not the greatest scientist ever. He would never beat Salk or Newton or Einstein or someone of that degree. I just think he's doing something extremely important.

@Obi ... include Jesus, he existed. Whether or not he was a prophet and son of God and all that jazz is up to you (based exclusively on your religion, I assume we're on the same side there).

Also, if you would, could you replace Kant with John Muir? Surely someone else will recommend Kant down the road but I feel like Muir could be left out.
