Might I suggest (and I'm not emailing this because it's not my business, just an onlooker's thought) that the mods prevent the email address field in his account from being changed for a few days?

I don't think that's possible semck (maybe I'm wrong, jmo would know), but we've already got his current address logged. We'll know if someone changes it.

THELEGION, in addition to what Jmo said, if this hacking claim is actually true and certain posts in this thread were posted without your consent, send the mods an email so we can try to sort out who it was and if they have an account on the site. If you know who it was and you know they have (or don't have) an account on the site, say so, and someone (probably someone higher up than me) can take a look at that and see if anything needs to be done there.

Lol, I'm honestly going to have to go through and figure out which rules apply here, it's more then 1. More worried about making sure no games get messed up by this. This will be easier if none of his friends are members, but we'll see.

Mods don't stress too bad on this. It's a poorly orchestrated attempt to make the community think legion has friends. It's an act. Publicity stunt. Sham. Legion should be aware that most people on this site don't have friends and it's okay. Otherwise we wouldn't spend hours on here talking to people through forums.

I love this thread. Not just because of Legion, who is hilarious, but what really does it for me is the affirmations of having friends by everyone else, Jamie having a feud with someone, and this threads ability to stick around.

Unfortunately this situation is beyond our ability to sort out. According to the player the police are involved in this case and all of his electronic accounts have been compromised, making it impossible for us to validate any communication with him.

If this is true then we aren't willing to be involved in an ongoing investigation, especially considering THELEGION account was used to make real and illegal threats against people outside of the site which we cannot tolerate. If it's not true then this far exceeds the common sense rule and several others in regards to wasting time. Either way we don't really have a choice but to remove this account due to the exceedingly weird and complicated issue here.

You know how good I am at sorting out situations like this goldie, this one is beyond me. If what he says is true then his friend has been hacking accounts with next generation spy gear that would make the NSA jealous. If it is true though, using our site to set up a brawl in which the police end up involved really isn't anything we want a part of. Short of contacting their local police department to get this cleared up, which really isn't feasible, there's nothing we can do here.
