A little bit, yes. For me the primary purpose of this forum is to provide entertainment whilst waiting for a new phase or new game. I didn't see any credible threats, nor was the dead of the forum or anyone known to forum ever mocked. I enjoyed the feuds and the faux outrage. I enjoyed the cat and mouse between the mods and the trouble makers. I will indeed miss it.

Minus the cat and mouse part, I enjoyed it too. We'll never have an EoG like the one with, if I remember correctly, MM, Babak and Dunecat again. That was a gift that kept on giving.

That's the purpose of the forum?? I assumed it was to publicize games and tournaments, discuss game talk, and sure .. converse with the community. Didn't realize it was to see who can rattle the cage the most. I don't know if these last few days were an indication as to these vacated members standard behavior but if so I'd suspect they probably caused more then enough newcomers to turn around and leave. I'm an extremely thick skinned guy so it's not the offensiveness, it's just an overall hostile and annoying environment. Giving in to a boycott would only add fuel to the current mob mentality.

We should be happy to be rid of anybody who doesn't want to be here just because they resent being told to follow what seems like pretty basic and reasonable standards of behaviour within the community. Fuck em. It's an awesome site, it's not going to suffer too much because of a dozen bitter players taking a walk.

The only guy on SDs list I might miss around here is Chaqa and I guess he might reconsider as soon as he is over his little hissy fit. Virtually everyone else on that list I muted quite a while ago.

Still nobody upset that I'm leaving ..... I'm getting a bit fed up now, there must be somebody who can feign mild concern

Nah, Nigs, what happens when you're banned is you relocate to vdip where you chill and chat with your fellow banned webdipers, those who left webdip in a dramatic exit, and most of the webdip mods. To a simple chap like me it all seems a bit farcical and more than a tad depressing.

Let me second Partysane. I muted those who are leaving also. Who knows? Maybe I might participate in the forums more now. I have to say that this site will be a lot more welcoming without that crowd. Nice job taking out the trash is my take on the whole affair

SD, while the idea is appreciated, keep in mind that only 2/6 players you mentioned are actually banned. krellin is only silenced and the other half have just left. I'm not sure what kind of "amnesty" you are considering.

On the other hand, we've had 18 people join today. With a few prominent voices gone from the forum, its a great opportunity for new voices to step up and contribute new and different opinions about how the mod team sucks.

I know what you are saying 2WL but I think there is genuine fear out there, people are scared to say things. I wanted yo say what a fabulous job the Mods were doing but I was worried it would be twisted and disfigured into a hideous ball of ridicule and rancour and resentment and other words beginning with 'r', that can't be a good thing.
