'I'd prefer true immortality. No accompanying senility etc. either. With that, I just have to wait for technology to catch up to duplicating all of the other superpowers."
Time travel is far more effective, waiting takes a long ass time.
"I think my power is winning right now guys. And before someone says it being able to change atomic composition wouldn't let me fly, read minds, or travel in time. So I'm not disqualified."
Explain to me how telepathic alchemy is better then the controlling time.
If I want to rob a bank, I pause time, I can't get caught and I wont show up on camera (cause time was paused while I robbed it)
Since controlling time allows me to move back in time, if something bad happens I'll just go back in time and prevent it, essentially if you want me to die it would have to be instantaneous for it to happen (in other words only Jamiet can kill me, so Jamiet can we be friends?)
I have access to superior weapons then anyone else by virtue of going into the future.
I'd definitely beat you in a fight Byron, pause time, kill you, unpause time, game over.
If you create something nice, I could steal it and go back in time to get it first.
If I had the patience I could even trick you into working for me (try an infinite number of times amending my questions and responses until you agree with me)
Only problem with my power is that you could argue that its multiple powers:
One could argue that I have the power to teleport by pausing time and moving to another place. (I don't think I do because I have to walk/run to wherever I am going, even if time is paused).
I technically have the power of superspeed by slowing down time for everyone else and then running (and when I get tired I can pause time to catch my breath).
'@Jamiet I think that power is a little OP, I think you need some rules"
Its one power no matter how you look at it, and so doesn't violate the OPs rules, and as Theo explained, its not as powerful as one thinks. Its also way less godlike then Death Note thinks. I also think its the 4th most powerful power here, so not really OP.
'The thing is that you would need to think to be able to do that though... while if someone had complete control over time they could literall kill you before you could even process it. My power is the one that is winning (i claimed more control over it than fasces did.)"
If only I added the word complete to my post... lol
I amend my answer to tvrocks, we had the same idea, I just (unintentionally) placed limits on my power.
"Okay, not sure how well I can convey this, but my power would be the ability to summon any object, real or fictional, at any time (particularly in danger). For example, if I wanted a million dollars in cash, I could will them by my side, the same with something like the Sword of Omens, food, the Mono Lisa, etc. I would never have to pay for anything, and life would be sweet."
That's an interesting one that's arguably just as powerful as mine and tvrocks. while you would never be able to beat me and tvrocks in a fight, you would have access to a world and technology that we wouldn't (sci-fi).
"It seems that that would have the potential to give you other superpowers. It may be better if it could only summon real things."
it doesn't give him additional powers, it just gives him access to tools that are as useful as having additional powers.
If we want to be that specific complete control of time is more than one power (as I explained above) and because Byrons gives him the power of flight (as Draug already explained) his power isn't allowed either.
