BNP Paribas extorted by US government for $9 billion fine
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this.

US crushed French bank even though it violated no international, or bilateral law, simply because trade is done in dollars. This is abuse of power and signifies that the US no longer upholds a free trade system. It will use the fact that trade is done in dollars to destroy people even if they broke no law.

Essay writing tips
We had fiction, so non-fiction now. Sometimes I really struggle to maintain structure for 10-15,000 words and ramble off in another direction. How do you write a clear concise essay?

But there seems to be a fair bit of misogyny in some posts. All in jest, but still, some posts that are misogynistic in nature. I'm curious as to whether there would be so many if there were more women on the site.

English Writing Skills Thread
Discuss skills that help you write good prose and poetry.

I'll start:
If you are trying to write an argumentative piece, it helps a lot to be concise. A long-winded piece that just says the same thing in ten different ways just leads readers astray.

Sandbox
I used to play on an online diplomacy site that had a sandbox. Is it possible to get one on this site, even if just for classic. I looked on the todo list and saw nothing in reference to it.

Obiwan where are you?!
I just finished watching Joss Whedon's production of Much Ado About Nothing and wanted to learn if you had seen it and what your impression was if you had. I quite enjoyed it and felt it was, at the least, comparable to Branagh's version.

Dead Children = Liberal Compassion
Truth in Action - One of the brilliant ideas of Libtards is "open borders"...it's compassionate. Everyone deserves blah blah blah. Yeah, but there are CONSEQUENCES: ** Dead CHILDREN on the shores of the Rio Grande **

@Krellin,
I don't think it is appropriate to make statements such as " throw up a fucking post about a cock-sucking tranny." I think it is fine if you think the liberals don't think as much as conservatives do about about the consequences of policies and you can argue that all day, but it doesn't do anyone any good when you get emotional and hurl insults at a group of people.
So, please tone down that kinda rhetoric.

Thank you for understanding.
Chaqa (3971 D(B))

He's referencing a post that was on the forums a day or two ago.

Anyway, no one has answered my question.

Yes, Chaqa, Krellin is following up his hate speech against trans people in another thread by bringing it to this thread too. I think zultar is aware of that.

You are totally misconstruing his view on that situation.
Putin33 (111 D)

"Ignoring the dead bodies and outcomes arguments and all that, why the hell should we be responsible for these people coming to our border?"

If they are refugees, then they should be treated as such. It's called international law. Much poorer countries have much larger refugee populations. They're not whining about it as much as you are.

"You are totally misconstruing his view on that situation."

Or you're willfully ignoring his foul and disgusting comments directed as transgender and transgendered people, because it's convenient for you.
Jamiet99uk (808 D)
14 Jul 14 UTC
@ Chaqa: No, I'm not. I don't want to fill this thread up with a debate about Krellin's conduct in another thread, but no, I'm not. He has used hate speech and I'm not wrong. PM me if you really wish to discuss further off-forum.

Throw Up a Fucking Post About a Cock-Sucking Tranny is actually the first single from Dead Children. Our record drops next month. But don't look for us on Pitchfork or the AV Club because the liberal media hates talking about Dead Children.

God I can't write - > *transsexual and transgender people.
Chaqa (3971 D(B))
14 Jul 14 UTC
@Jamiet: his arguments in that thread were that the school could exclude students because it's a private institution. They make teachers and students sign morality clauses as well.

As for this whole "hate speech", if you consider "tranny" to be offensive, then you should also consider any other word-shortening to be offensive.

You guys love to bash krellin because he doesn't sugarcoat his words. In fact, maybe he acid coats them. But you always harass based on his wording and ignore his arguments.

One....JUST ONE of you have the balls to admit this is a fucking tragedy, that the Obama "open borders" policy of non-enforcement is **encouraging** a flood of children to cross into our country in a dangerous manner and MAYBE...JUST MAYBE....this fucking policy has now contributed to the death of a minor child.

Just ONE ofyou have the fucking balls to go against the grain and exercise a moment's worth fo common sense.
Putin33 (111 D)

He doesn't have arguments. It's the same recycled crap over and over again. He shouts hypocrisy and to the extent that he addresses responses to him he either A) moves the goal posts or B) completely misunderstands what people are saying.

And sorry for vile insults he is spewing at trans folk is in fact hate speech. The fact that that you consider absolutely nothing hate speech makes you a poor judge of what is and is not hate speech.
Yellowjacket (835 D(B))

Besides, not ALL TG's enjoy sucking cock, so I resent the implication that they are in any way linked. And this was a FtM, so it's more likely than not that this particular transgender preferred the vag (not guaranteed by any means).

@Putin: I think people are much too quick to be offended. If someone is saying vile, offensive things, let the people shun him or her, and ignore him. There's absolutely no reason any legal action should be taken over words.

Words can never hurt you. If they can, it's not other people's problems. Tough skin is something sorely lacking in today's people.

Chaqa (3971 D(B))

Kasi - about which point? I couldn't care less about the school and trans issue, to be honest. Not my fight.

The border issue is ridiculous. We shouldn't have to let thousands of undocumented people into our country because of some fabricated "humanitarian crisis" that happened because they were told they could come here, when they couldn't.
Putin33 (111 D)

"I'm still waiting on anyone to answer why this is our problem. We shouldn't have to deal with this flood of people. We have our own shit to deal with."

I actually did respond. You whine about people not responding to arguments but you just ignore the responses.

"Words can never hurt you."

Spoken like a true bully. Like I said, you don't think anything is offensive so who cares when you claim something isn't offensive?

I don't know, maybe the Jordanians can spare some money since they're already housing millions of refugees thanks to the Israel-Palestine, Syrian and Iraq conflicts.

Jordan puts on the big boy pants and deals with it. I suppose the richest country in the world is too poor to do so.
Chaqa (3971 D(B))

Oh, sorry Putin, I missed your post. The thing is, WHY are they refugees? Because they are sitting at the border? They came here because it was advertised that they would be allowed in, not because there is any actual crisis of import in their home country.

I'm not a bully. I've dealt with bullies. You know how? You ignore them, because they're small. They're insignificant. They work at dead end jobs and suffer for their own smallness, and the world is right. And if you can't do that, you can stand up, and fight, but oh no, you can't, because the school punishes those who do, and rewards the bully.

Aside... I'm not a hateful man, and I do feel bad for these children and others. But I'm a practical person, and we are already in debt and we cannot afford to take care of them. We have our own issues, our own people to take care of.

I can't justify supporting thousands of refugees when our own veterans can't get medical care.

putin, I think you and your family should start to pony up those dollars that will be required to pay for this, you dumb piece of shit....we cant even take care of our own in this country, and you want to take on the responsibility of children that their own parents didn't want

Saying that "tranny" is inoffensive because it's simply word-shortening implies that we can say "Paki" now, right? How about "Injun"? "Nigga"? I've just shortened the words to make them roll of the tongue easier. Say what you like, but don't pretend it doesn't bother people.

As for the OP, it seems to me unlikely that the "open border" policy caused the dead children. I would hazard that the proximate cause is water in their lungs and the fundamental cause is probably poverty and desperation.

Also, wouldn't there be fewer dead children if there were easier ways to get into the USA? Instead of forcing them to sneak past the border, you could always just let them through the gates.

"and you want to take on the responsibility of children that their own parents didn't want"

Pony up the money you want us pay for all the unwanted pregnancies you demand be brought to term and we'll see who ends up paying more. I love it how you people think we're suddenly too broke to support children without parents. When did this 180 come about?
