Optimally I would like 6 more people to join the game.
Also, there is a chance I may make the roleblocker an individual mafia member. Pending approval, if the SK is kept (depends on the opinions of who else joins), they may be given NK and Copscan Immunity. If you want me to explain why, ask.

Not asking why, just asking how you'd make that work if the cop in particular tried to scan them. You'd give them away if you told them they couldn't.

@Bo: Copscan immunity means that if the cop scans the SK, the result returned is innocent, rather than guilty.

One thing that I think really helps the game move along are multiple deaths a night. For balance reasons, I've played f2f games before where the mafia had 2 kills per night, or had an extra kill under certain circumstances. If the game has too many people, there just needs to be enough of a balance mechanism so the mafia wouldn't be almost assured defeat through time, unless they got lucky with an early cop kill. I've also played games with multiple cops as a sort of redundancy feature, where the cops act in tandem, but they mafia have to kill them both to stop investigations.

Regardless, I think we've been able to keep the games thus far pretty balanced, and I'm not worried about it, but there are plenty of ways to balance things out without a 3rd faction.

Also, i get the gist of the game, but could someone give a (very) brief description of the rules, like 3 or 4 sentences, I'll learn along the way.

However, in mafia there are two groups the town and the mafia, and sometimes a Serial Killer. The goal of the town is to kill the SK and Mafia, the goal of the Mafia is to kill the sk and have more people than the town, the goal of the sk is to kill everyone. During the day the town votes on who to lynch, the majority candidate dying. During the night the Cop (town) investigates someone to find their alignment, the doctor (town) chooses someone to save, the vig (town) may or may not try to kill someone, the mafia choses someone to kill and someone to roleblock (not let a person carry out their role) and the sk kills someone (usually being immune to death at night).

@ILN- If you can pull it up on your phone during dead time throughout the day, it isn't so bad, but if not it definitely is going to take at least 2 hours a day to be able to participate sufficiently.

Or less than 2 hours, if you don't actually read everything.
