this is going to be an exciting finish... do our resident commentators want to give a final tally of what is going on in their estimation... what will Germany's role be now that he's out of a dot... and unfortunately, it seems Italy may be NMRing here, which would really suck...

but E is on the verge of the first solo in a SoW game... pretty exciting finish coming up I think.

I was in the game that Jacob solo'ed. No one listened until it was too late, and even then someone just 'quit' thinking that it was inevitable.

Granted, this has been a GREAT group (other than the italy CD and NMRs). Lots of comm, lots of strategy. I'm sure I'll have plenty to say after the game is over

What the hell. I definitely had some sweet sweet final analysis, and its not here!

Anyways, I can summarise it by saying Austria dropped the ball on Munich, and is now screwed.

With excellent moves in the south seas and cunning tricks involving the Baltic Sea, it seems that England has got this game in the bag. Tunis is definitely going to England next turn and likely Berlin as well, netting him the 18 he needs to win.

England kept his forces moving quickly and built the right thing at the right time. He got his armies onto the mainland quickly and convinced the other players to help him win. I'm not sure what else there is to say: England played it like a champ.

Would it be okay for me to go twice?

but I realize there must be others who haven't a chance yet.

This game is not totally over, yet. Though, admittedly, chances are we have a year left. Maybe IT will come back, or, after he goes CD now, someone will take over.

Whatever happens it was a really nice game. Too bad we had IT go CD twice. I'd be definitely willing to play or comment in the future. The commentary brings a really positive new element to the game, but more about this with the EOGs

When this game is over, with the new rush of attention, we should definitely start a game for SoW grad-students. Only people who didn't go CD. I'd be happy to start it up.

indeed. we may have had a different outcome if that had not happened.

i wonder if people have thoughts on how to better screen our newer players, so that we can reduce the chances of CD? ensuring they have completed a few games and are not playing in too many games currently does not seem to be enough.
