Presidential Results Thread
They just went out on a limb and projected Georgia for Romney. Post your live results commentary here.

@2nd, I think that that's just the candidates repeatedly overtaking each other. Romney will probably gain a solid lead in NC soon enough.

I don't love Obama, but I hate Romney.

It's not Presidential, but Indiana's gubernatorial and Senate races are extremely close, and in terms of the governor, it was expected to be a blowout. Really interesting here...

I think it's ridiculous they are "calling it" on these states this early. Every station has different states colored out, and they keep switching...don't call it until its actually called.
Mapu (362 D)

They just said polls in Virginia close at 7pm but there are 4 hours of lines so it won't close until 11.
>Romney leading New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Michigan

HAHAHAHAHAH
2/3 of those are back to Obama but still, the momentary meltdown from my leftist friends was hilarious.

Michigan to Obama already...
I just saw there's a senator from Michigan named Stabenow. What a great Diplomacy name!

And Obama's ahead in Florida and barely behind in NC and Arkansas, it's not like it means anything yet.

I started a thread for this, but OK...

Florida just flipped Romney by a few thousand votes with 76% of the votes in. :/
NBC showing Romney ahead in Florida by a mere 193 votes.

Hell yes he is.
I'm losing my shit at Florida right now. Holy hell. Shows the Republicans right, Gary Johnson got the margin of victory and then some. Shouldn't have run us out, assholes!

LOL! CBS says Obama has Wisconsim but ABC says Romney has it. I wonder who will have to change their prediction?

NBC also gave Wisconsin to Obama.
@2WL - you know what makes it even funnier is that as of this point Romney has more votes in New York than Obama

Or, well, he did 20 minutes ago shortly after they called it.
bo_sox48 (5202 DMod(G))
07 Nov 12 UTC
ABC just hinted Wisconsin to Obama but didn't project it. NH to Obama - Mitt's home states are gone.
bo_sox48 (5202 DMod(G))

And Minnesota.. that's surprising.

Not to surprising that Minnesota went to Obama.
Draugnar (0 DX)

This is so stupid. Romney keeps gaining more and more votes in WI and even CBS recognizes he has more votes yet they still have their predition to Obama.

From CBS's website:

B. Obama* (D)
46% / 192,067

M. Romney (R)
53% / 220,843

Obama wins easily. As expected. Someone bump that electoral map thread, I want to see who was right.

Draug, switch to CNN -- they have Wisconsin switching between Red and Yellow.

The actual result was so different from that predicted by the pollsters.
And yet the closer the media said the election was going to be the more money the candidates spent of advertising. Strange that.

51 States
I heard on the radio that there will be another non-binding vote in Puerto Rico to determine if they want to become a state. Other than the obvious problem of having a lot of out-dated flags, is there anyone who can tell me what the ramifications will be (for them as well as the current states)?

This is why we do this, folks. Miracles like this. A man dies, comes back to life, and his first question is, "Did I vote?"

I've been following the US Presidential elections and I want to know what movie you think would fit this evening (evening in Europe being now). I already watched the American President and Primary Colors (during earlier election periods), what do you recommend?

Correct Me If I'm Wrong, But...
…I don't think I am.

Wasn't it the Republican party that said that Hurricane Sandy was going to decide the election by stalling Obama's campaign? If that's the case, why are they so reasonably, so honestly switching sides to gain sympathy? I mean, they've never done that before….
