"but dude, if you are suck a dick, I will stay away"
So, I recently saw two 'chums' of mine settle their argument by means of sucking dick. Is this an American thing or is it a new influence from the Latino community (whose stereotypical accent my 'chum' likes to impersonate in his typing)?

Game question
If a unit attempts to capture territory and it would successfully do so otherwise, but that unit must be destroyed because that player loses supply centres that phase, will the territory it attempts to move into be captured?

EoG- Final Game 1
http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=75338#votebar

Given that my other 'final game' didn't finish, this really did turn out to be my last on the site. It would have been nice to have soloed, and frustratingly I think I missed a couple of decent opportunities, but I'm still very pleased with the result, especially given my weak start! More later!!

Why is it that...
Everyone seems to think that the sole Biblical source outlawing gay marriage rests in Leviticus? I've seen this in my conversations with friends and classmates and also on this forum here. There are in fact a number of different places where the Bible outlaws gay marriage.

I'm not trying to argue for whether it is right or wrong in this thread. I just am curious as to why there is so much misinformation floating around.

I would have told them to replace "double world GDP" with cut poverty in half so that brain dead socialists would use worn out rhetoric to attack it.

2-Q ended as well, congratz Trooth.

I made some stupid mistakes and most importantly misorders so I couldn't finish Germany quickly enough to build up my defenses. Germany and Austria weren't willing to sacrifice themselves for stop-the-leader then and the fate of the game was sealed.

Congrats Trooth.

I don't see why Austria needed to be sacrificed. If anything we needed him, since it takes so long for Turkey to get to the front. Why continue attacking Austria when it wasn't necessary and it wasn't working. Together we could have pushed back France. I'm very disappointed that fight lasted as long as it did.

Besides, if we had eliminated Austria I wasn't comfortable allowing Turkey to become the next super power.
ulytau (541 D)
03 Mar 12 UTC
Sacrifice from their viewpoint, i.e. letting Turkey and you through with Austria and Germany losing some SCs and possibly getting eliminated if the push was successful. I thought it would work since it was the only hope but it didn't.
JesusPetry (258 D)
03 Mar 12 UTC
I was surprised to see Russia suddenly helping Austria, since I think I could reach the stalemate line in time with my push, but then I probably stopped attacking A-H a couple of turns too late.

BTW, public congrats to Trooth who played a really great game!

I was really worried that you guys wanted to go for a 2way there when France built a new fleet. I had everything ready for a mass movement to defend against it, and then it says the phase has already processed. I almost panicked until I realized it had drawn.
uclabb (589 D)

I couldn't believe how long Turkey kept attacking me (Austria) and England kept attacking Germany in 2-Q. Unbelievable, really.

Congrats trooth, you absolutely obliterated that game.

I was pretty comfortable I could hold out long enough to get the South stabilized. Apart from France, we, the remaining countries, just weren't on the same page.

Not sure precisely how this tourney is scored. Am I right in thinking that with a solo Trooth is way ahead of the pack and could only be passed if one of the other players (who currently each have a 3-way draw under their belt) solos in the final game?
JesusPetry (258 D)
03 Mar 12 UTC
You're correct, Barn3tt! It should be a wild game from now on!

Some serious down-to-the-wire play here. Only a solo can knock out Trooth from #1, yet the #2 spot (currently shared between JesusPetry and ulytau) could end up being anyone. Very exciting!

a youtube video that really rings true for me. particularly the part that says school sucks and the part that compares obama to hitler. only problem is that it sounds vaguely poetic, and poetry is gay.

Why are home prices still falling in 2012 four years after their initial collapse?
Because the government wasted hundreds of billions if not a trillion dollars on futile attempts to manipulate the market and keep home prices up. What foolishness. The market can't be denied people- finger in the dike stuff.

Not my words but an interesting viewpoint
We should look to the antics of our own war addicted leaders with their mockery of democracy before we get involved in any other country. The West holds no moral high ground, while this state of enslavement to the economy of us, the people, exists, to interfere with other systems of rule. The veneer of legitimacy of our own goverments these days is no thicker than that of the Taliban

After reading some of the comments in the gay marriage debate I have come to wonder why certain faiths feel the need to legislate their morals. Do they feel that their way is the only way or is it just a method to control everything?
