I think you screwed yourself over quite a bit, Prez. Once Russia blew up it would have been incredibly difficult to bottle up the Turk who was a ticking time bomb on your back side. You played a huge part in blowing up Russia and letting the Turk out of his cage.

Russia's terrible opening and lack of communication forced Italy to wing it. Should have moved Ser -> Tri like I considered doing, that's probably the biggest single-move mistake I can think of right now. Italy and I never got on good terms, probably because he stabbed me for Trieste and then never really made any suggestions since (I had no clue what he was doing for any of his moves the whole game after S02), then decided to implode my position and enable a 3-way EFT.

Still wish England or France had pushed, I'm pretty sure one of them could have soloed. Lando's gamble on them playing conservative for the 3wd paid off, so that was a good play on his part.

Turkey would have never gotten out of the Balkans if you didn't force me to worry about my back the whole game, Barnett. Seriously. I played a huge part in blowing up Russia, yeah, but if I had my THREE ARMIES that were stuck taking Trieste back in 1902, I guarantee you Turkey never gets out of the cage.

Just saw this now fun game everyone I enjoyed it. Not sure how I feel about others weighing in on it while it was ongoing though.

Russia's poor opening made Germany vulnerable. I also found Germany's communication a bit off-putting and in general I think its more lucrative to go after Germany as England than France so I decided to put my eggs into the EF basket. I pumped armies into Germany and Russia. It became pretty clear by 1903 or 1904 that it was headed for a EFTA final four. I briefly considered pushing for a solo and stabbing France, but France assured me he'd throw the game to Turkey in that scenario and I believed Sarg's thread was credible. Lando in the end took the initiative and stabbed Eden. From that point it was a quick and easy wrap to a three way. All in all, a fun live press game with a bunch of regulars.

The only thing I said was basically what I already told everyone still alive ingame. lol.

Also, funny how many NMRs and misorders happened in the first couple of years. Its hard to play 5 minute press when everyone is pretty talkative and good at diplomacy.
