• Full press (not rulebook), 7 minute phases. SoS scoring in games.
• No buy-in for the tournament - 5 point entry fee will be reimbursed and points won in-game will be removed.
• Total tournament score will be the average of each of your game scores, so each score added together divided by the number of games you participate in. If you play 5 games and scored 20 points for example, your tournament score would be 4.
• The winner of the tournament will receive 500 points, second place will receive 200 points, and third place will receive 100 points.
• Maybe brackets based on time zone, maybe brackets based on skill, maybe no brackets at all?
• Tournament has an automatic 90% RR gate. I will personally look at any player below 90% who wants to sign up but I won't guarantee entry. Players who CD a) do not get their bets reimbursed and b) are removed from the tournament. Games with CDs or NMRs before or during 1903 must be canceled.

Obviously, the biggest challenge is finding a time that works for people. The most active time for live games seems to be evening EST, so I was thinking that we try starting games at either Saturday or Sunday at 5 PM EST. Off the top of my head I believe that's 10 PM in the UK. That's up for discussion but we're not going to find a perfect time for everyone regardless.

Is there any interest in this? Feedback is more than welcome as this will definitely be a challenge to pull off, but reinvigorating live games through a tournament would be awesome for the site. Experienced players that remember how active live games used to be can attest to that.
