I was going to do an EOG thread, but ill just post it here instead.
I was Russia. It was a hard fought battle with teams vascilating back and forth throughout the game. There were many proposed moves and many proposed stabs, but in the end, the stalemate was achieved and it ended in a 7 way draw. Here is the blow by blow
Spring 1901: Turkey proposed a juggernaught, Italy and Austria proposed a lepanto, and asked if I wanted in, France and Germany proposed a sealion, but England got word of it, and was able to make Germany a better deal. Then they for France on their side proposing a western triple, but through tough negotiations and threatening to throw the game if I didn't get my way, I was able to successfully negotiate a 7-way draw without a shot being fired. This is, to this day, my proudest accomplishment on this site.

This is a game with seven (7) losers. *Any one* of you could have made a move and showed some strength, tried to take over. But everyone timidly voted "draw" and now the weakest game ever is manifest.

Any one of you could have prevented this. No one did.

@tendmote - I contend that this may be the strongest game ever. A bet was made. The gauntlet has been thrown down. If ava has the guts, then we have the stuff of legends. Grandchildren will sit at their elders feet and say "Papa. Tell us again how the mighty zultar caught ava in a drunken bet." And there will be much rejoicing.

I'll just play a bunch of gunboats with the top 6 and draw them all. Pay them in cash. Easy. I'm #7 in gunboat if I do that enough. Yay.

@ bo & jim: If I remember correctly, GR doesn't kick in until games reach '03.

Tendmote, as I said in the EOG, all possibilities were considered, and the outcomes of each were studied in depth. The only possible outcome was a seven way draw. It was like a tic tac toe game, once you know it's a stalemate, there's no reason to even draw the first X

If I was in that game there'd be X's all over that map.

Well to be fair, if you were in that game and tried to move een a single piece, you'd have been eliminated damn quickly and it would have been a 6 way draw.
