24 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 1994: I try to hit ready every time I can, but it is difficult in the early years as my actions are generally contingent on the replies I receive from people to presses. I will hit ready whenever possible.
24 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 1994: So do I. I hate waiting till max phase time for orders that have been put in and could have been readied. Unfortunately, not everyone is like minded .. . .
24 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 1994: It does get a little boring waiting till max phase time sometimes, but I have found that if you know you won't be able to respond or do anything for a little more than a full phase length, that it's beneficial to hit save so you don't miss a turn. (Generally happens for me on weekends for instance).

In general, I usually hit ready as soon as I feel I've finished conducting all major negotiations for the turn.
