Hey, just checking - with PPSC I thought the winner could only get a maximum of half?

The winner gets the proportion of the pot equal to the proportion of SC's he/she owns. As winning requires more than half of the SC's, the winner will get more than half the pot.

$totSCNo is the total nomber of SCs of playing countries.

It was Kestas' stated objective to have the winner win the equivalent of 18 SCs in a normally won game, but that didn't make it into the code. If you get 22 SCs, you win 22*ppsc.

So with only 21 SCs active, You got 5 ppsc (which actually ripped you off - at a pot of 116 you would have gotten 6 ppsc) * 19 = 95.

nice payoff. Ghost rating, however, only gives you the 18 for the win.

(This is fixed in the next version, where you can't win more than 18 SCs worth)

Then I guess PPSC will go bye bye in the next version cause the house will get to keep Daggers any time someone wins with more SCs. I guess those extra Daggers will go to Kestas's account... Lousy skimming off the top beatch of a site.

While the last was tongue in cheek, I have to ask why someone shouldn't get more Daggers if they win with more SCs... Seems a bit unfair to me.

And that "stalling to get more SCs" is bull. If they stall to get more, they also risk someone breaking through a line and ruining their day.

I think the philosphy is that a PPSC win is 50% + 1 SC.

Thre's a question - do you get a PPSC win with 15 SCs if there are 5SCs in Civil Disorder?

You know, 18 Max made sense to me until I really looked at it. Now I think it does not - the pot is the pot, and it should be distributed according to SCs won. Perhaps rounding error goes to the winner, and gets lost in a draw.
