I understand, Duff and Hellenic, it was a joke, I read that part of the thread. But I'm not thinking about it from my perspective, I'm also thinking of it from the perspective of newcomers to the site; from the perspective of the people who do not know it was a joke. To them, it may seem as if the moderators (people we expect to admire for their sense of virtue and justice) are rudely and childishly abusing their powers, which would make this site a considerably less-inviting place for them to spend their time. What would you think if you saw someone banned for the reason 'moron' and did not know the context?

Can someone like abgemacht back me up on this? I say that this isn't a behavior that we want our mods to exhibit.

I would say that the only reason any newcomer would go to that profile is that they've seen his posting, and thus his spamming, and thus anyone with a basic bit of intelligence would therefore would be able to put two and two together.

@PSMongoose, he wasn't banned for spamming, no mod has ever banned anyone for spamming since I've been on the site. I see no issue with the reason given. As I can only come to the conclusion that someone who enjoys spending their time trying to sneak back onto a site to ruin other games for other people on a consistent basis is a moron, I feel that whatever mod used that as a reason was fully justified.

I assume that you have actually read our site rules and know that he was banned because he made another account after being banned. More then 1 account is not allowed.

The only way you'll get banned for spamming is if you're selling art or a Samsung Galaxy.

@PSMongoose: I for one never look at a banned player's profile. If they were banned, then whoopty-doo. If a new player ever looks at a banned player's profile, I'm sure they won't be insulted by moderator comments left on the page.

Relax. Mods can have fun in their posts too. They're not paid to be professional, and if some fun in a post gives some payment back, then so be it.

@Damian, that's not so much banned for spamming as banned for using our site for their own person business profit. I've banned 1 or 2 for that too. Though we do make an exception if the lamps are particularly high quality.
