11 May 12 UTC Spring, 1: Good luck all!
For your information, Egypt, Persia, and I all know each other in real life.
11 May 12 UTC Spring, 1: Fortuna Bona! (Latin for good luck)
12 May 12 UTC Spring, 1: Ever the diplomat to make sure we all know. ;-) I hope you're the sort of friends that are very competitive with one another. ;-)
Bonne chance all.
12 May 12 UTC Spring, 1: Not much of a mega-alliance we could make anyway considering Persia's position :)
13 May 12 UTC Spring, 1: Hey-- don't hate on the Shah of the World! :) We could make it work-- for now.
15 May 12 UTC Autumn, 2: Can we all agree to try to not just save orders-- I understand that this can be useful, but when the time limit is this long, it can be annoying to have to wait when somebody already has written orders, they just haven't clicked "ready." I understand that I have done this too, but I just want to propose that we all try to refrain from doing so for this game. If there is a Mediterraneus/Mesogeios II I will definately make the phase length way shorter. Thanks!

The Shah of Persia
21 May 12 UTC Spring, 4: Come'on Mr.Brown finalize those orders. ;-)
Never mind those pleasure-cruises on the Nile and get back to the affairs of state.
27 May 12 UTC Spring, 5: I would like to be referred to as: His Lordly Greatness the King of God-Kings and Shahanshah of the Grand Empire comprised of the Glorious Satrapies of Persia, Phoenicia, Syria, Judea, Anatolia, Armenia, Nabataea, Arabia, Harran, Cappadocia, Cyprus, and the southern Caucasus; Supreme lord of the Persians, Arabs, Cypriots, Nabataeans, Armenians, Cilicians, inhabitants of the Pontus, Isaurians, Galatians, Neo-Hittites, Assyrians, Syrians, Syrophoenicians, Phoenicians, Bedouin, and Circassians; Supreme Patron of the Hebrews; Beloved of Mithras; Beloved of his forefathers, the Achaemenids: Cyrus, Darius, Xerxes, Darius II, Artadarius, Xerxes II, Darius III, Artaxerxes, and Darius IV; Son of Ahura Mazda, lord of Truth and Fire; Commander of the faithful soldiers of Zarathustra; Whipper of the Bosporus; Lord of the River Orontes; God-like triumvir of the Triumvirate of the Eastern States of Greece, Persia, and Egypt; Grand Conqueror of Petra and Cyprus; The Lawgiver; Liberator of the Levant; Commander of the Immortals :)
27 May 12 UTC Spring, 5: If any of you have read Herodotus you will understand!
27 May 12 UTC Spring, 5: Nice. Shelley also comes to mind... ;-)
27 May 12 UTC Spring, 5: I still think you should change the "Grand Conqueror of Petra and Cyprus" part...
27 May 12 UTC Spring, 5: I think you should try to come up with a better title before hating on mine.... ;)
28 May 12 UTC Spring, 5: Challenge accepted... :)
My friends call me (and this is translated from the original hieroglyphs, of course)
"Horus-who-fights-and-vanquishes, Lady of a Thousand Crowns;
The one supreme Mistress of the Black Land and the Red Land, beloved both of Lady Nekhbet of the Land of the Reed and of sovereign Uto of the Land of the Bee, Superior to her Foes, beloved equally of Sekhmet (the Great One of the Places of Judgement and Execution, whose opportunity escapeth her not) and Hathor of many names, sovereign of the stars;
The female Horus of finest gold from the depths of Nubian mines, nswt-nfrt pleasing to the heart of her father Re;
His Majesty Herself the Good Goddess, blessed with life everlasting, Katy Ma'at-ka-re (life, prosperity, strength be unto her and her descendants for all time)."
28 May 12 UTC Spring, 5: Now can I hate on your title?
30 May 12 UTC Spring, 5: We signed on for long turns, but please finalize orders unless you're waiting for press. Come on.
30 May 12 UTC Autumn, 5: Thank you. :-)
30 May 12 UTC Autumn, 5: Egypt - please just give your password to Persia and let him submit the orders he wants directly. ;-) Why waste a couple of days conversing?
10 Jun 12 UTC Autumn, 6: Guys, if you are friends who are gonna never attack each other you shouldn't be playing in the same games together. This totally non-aggression is rather lame. I'd have partnered up with Rome against you except your self-disclosure lead me to believe you'd be reasonable about not meta-gaming.
10 Jun 12 UTC Autumn, 6: How is this metagaming, Carthage? If we don't team up against you, you'll win. This is a totally viable strategy, and none of us appreciate your empty accusations, even as a last diplomatic resort.
10 Jun 12 UTC Autumn, 6: You're not there players - it's just diplomat isn't it? So lame, I'm reporting you!
