World Diplomacy IX, Sum-of-Squares Scoring
1 excused missed turn
Game drawn
14 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 2007: [Europe]:The game is kind of falling apart isn't it?
14 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 2007: [Europe]:Perhaps we should just all draw right now? Hmmm, I think that's a great idea!
14 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 2007: [Frozen-Antarctica]:Haha that's some top level diplomacy right there
14 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 2007: [Russia]:Just joined but voting draw
14 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 2007: [Europe]:Welcome Russia! I'm glad I have allies in peace.

Really, what monster would want to carry on these violent wars? I think it is a time to reflect and a time for peace! Together we can make this happen and bring peace to this world! Who is with me?!
14 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 2007: [Europe]:Hahaha ;p
14 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 2007: [South-Africa]:You've got my vote!
14 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 2007: [South-Africa]:Singing Kumbaya~~
14 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 2007: [Europe]:Haha, that's the spirit! I'll be gathering the firewood for the peace bonfire!
14 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 2007: [Brazil]:oh wow...Europe has started a movement...impressive...
14 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 2007: [India]:My share of the pot's about as large as it will ever be, so I might as well join too!
15 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 2007: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
15 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 2007: [South-Africa]:Please do :)
15 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 2007: [Europe]:Wait ... wait ... Russia didn't put in moves so got kicked out. Then a new Russia joined in who also didn't put in any moves so the new Russia got kicked out again?

What is happening here?
15 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 2007: [South-Africa]:I believe that Russia didn't put in moves so got kicked out. Then a new Russia joined in who also didn't put in any moves so the new Russia got kicked out again.
15 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 2007: [Europe]:Welcome Third Russia. Have you also come in hopes of bringing world peace to this world?
15 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 2007: [India]:Well, in truth I'd kind of like to keep going a while longer and see how things play out. Do the Canadas have an opinion on the matter?
15 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 2007: [Western-Canada]:I personally feel that there is plenty of game left to play. I am also incredibly annoyed with the missed turns and whatnot.
15 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 2007: [Europe]:Haha, I was mostly speaking for myself to be in a drawn game and get that 1 point! In all honesty though, I deffinitly think there is still much to play for. As I see it there are 4 main factions on the board right now that can still really go either way.

The peace talk was mainly a joke on my part and I was a little surprised on how serious it was taken, but with all the missed turns I can imagine some people just being kind of done with it, which always ends up happening in worlds maps in my experience because there are just so many players.
15 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 2007: [Kenya]:Such a low RR requirement is kinda bunk for these large games.
15 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 2007: [Ghana]:https://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=311346

Higher reliability requirement
16 Jul 20 UTC Autumn, 2007: [Europe]:I will not die, I will survive! ;p
16 Jul 20 UTC Autumn, 2007: [Ghana]:Uropia, o Morte
19 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 2008: [Europe]:Is this ... the end? ;(
19 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 2008: [Kenya]:Goodbye Europe!
21 Jul 20 UTC Autumn, 2008: [India]:Alright, I've added my vote to the draws (sorry, Europe!)
21 Jul 20 UTC Autumn, 2008: [Frozen-Antarctica]:Same here :) If WC and Ghana want the draw, then we'll have one
21 Jul 20 UTC Autumn, 2008: [Europe]:My 1 point! ;( Haha no it's all good! no worries India, you're doing great for yourself!
24 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 2009: [Brazil]:Just WC left now. gg folks! have only seen this map get a solo once during my entire time playing on this site, and that was because there was like 1750 points at stake lol
29 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 2010: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
29 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 2010: [Western-Canada]:Sorry! Had a long couple of days
29 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 2010: [Kenya]:It's fine.
30 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 2010: [Frozen-Antarctica]:Anyone up for a draw now? (I know it makes sense bc I'm going down, but also India will dominate the SoS scoring if they take 4-5 centers off me.
30 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 2010: [Brazil]:Happy to draw, up to Libya and WC to make the final ballot counts
30 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 2010: [Western-Canada]:Yeah, I’ll draw. Libya, you in?
31 Jul 20 UTC Autumn, 2010: [Libya]:Eh... alright, sure. Let's finish this year out, though.
01 Aug 20 UTC [Libya]:I'm in for the draw now.
01 Aug 20 UTC [Libya]:Western Canada? You in?
02 Aug 20 UTC [Western-Canada]:Yeah, good game. I waited too long and let India get too big.
02 Aug 20 UTC [Ghana]:Good game everyone
02 Aug 20 UTC [Kenya]:Good game y'all
02 Aug 20 UTC [Libya]:Good game! Brazil, Quebec, WCan, you had a killer alliance
02 Aug 20 UTC [Kenya]:our african alliance kinda fell on its face lmao
02 Aug 20 UTC [Libya]:A little bit. But we defended against Brazil pretty well at the end there. Probably wouldn't have lasted all that long but oh well
02 Aug 20 UTC [Libya]:India, thanks for drawing!
02 Aug 20 UTC [Europe]:Good game everyone! Cool end to see! Was intresting to see the african countires so allied from the start
02 Aug 20 UTC [India]:No problem Libya, and good game all! I know it doesn't show in SoS scoring, but I was pretty nervous about the african alliance right up until SA collapsed.

I guess the lesson is it's really hard to expand from one continent to another?
02 Aug 20 UTC [Libya]:True

03 Aug 20 UTC [Frozen-Antarctica]:Thanks to everyone for drawing and saving my few remaining centers :) Good game!
