12 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2001: Texas and Cuba - where'd you disappear to!? tricky to win or draw or even survive in this game without submitting orders ;-)
12 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2001: i feel sorry for the people of Hawaii - they are getting battered
12 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2001: 5 MIA countries with 30 minutes to go .... and all southerners.... has there been some sort of a zombie breakout in the south part of map??
13 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 2002: welcome back peru -- this is a pretty sad game people (5/10 missed previous turn; 3 still gone; never seen this much apathy in a game in a long time!)
13 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 2002: Apologies to all yup, good luck
13 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 2002: i'm open to playing out and open to cancelling - some players at distinct disadvantage with no freebies to take over and there are multiple

thoughts? honestly - i'm good to play it but in the interest of gamemanship - want to know that everyone ok with that
13 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 2002: I agree with the cancel. Need more participation.
13 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 2002: We can draw and start a new game.
13 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 2002: Or Cancel, whatever
13 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 2002: If you think you'll ever have a 24 hour game with 10 people for 10 points staying the whole time you're nuts lol.
13 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 2002: No, I think it is a reasonable ask, people are just silly, and yeh, I agree with a draw/cancel
13 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 2002: It'd obviously be a nice thing to get. I'm just saying it won't happen unless you make the points a LOT higher. There's not enough incentive to keep 10 people active.
14 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2002: you all have good points ... we have some immature players we all agree on ... and i think we can all agree that games need to have high RR ratings and more than 10 pts entry to be good but oh well
14 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2002: actually - a 10pt game can be good if everyone plays .... too many young people on this site who think it is a war game / get bored fast /..... it is not meant to be a pure war game, it is called "diplomacy"
14 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2002: Didn't say it can't be good, just that it doesn't hold interest to most people here. It's very rare to find a game here that's not high points that holds attention for all players for the entire duration; especially once they start falling behind.
14 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2002: I 100% agree with you
14 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2002: I 100% agree with you
14 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2002: whoops sorry
14 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2002: the funny/weird thing here is that none of california, mexico, texas, cuba were actually falling behind - all of them were doing just fine
14 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2002: I had cleared out two of Texas' points before he left. I'm not sure why the others stopped though. But missing one turn in these games is a pretty big deal so it's easy to lose motivation to stop playing after a single miss.
14 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2002: kudos to Peru for coming back after missing a turn and continuing to fight (welcome back Peru!)

also welcome to new Mexico player

note I have withdrawn both my cancel and my draw votes... as there doesn't seem to be overwhelming interest to do either
14 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2002: I'll keep my votes up but we won't reach the neccessary majority (?) due to the afkers I presume.
14 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2002: need 100% of players voting for a draw or cancel.
14 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2002: impossible if some are missing
14 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2002: I kinda doubt the huge players are gonna cancel .
14 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2002: I wouldn't mind canceling if I thought there was any chance to get 10 randoms to make all turns for such little points. It's just how the games work here. We all knew what we were getting into. If you want better participation play classic for higher points. Fewer players to bail and more reason to stay.
14 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2002: All, life is getting in the way of play here too much.

My draw&cancel votes are up. I am moving out of my service centres (where i can).

I wish you all the best of luck.
15 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 2003: We get it, no need to repeat youself, I still disagree, to each his own.
16 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2003: HL is pretty much correct - even if we don't like it. Impossible for game to be canceled as you need 10 people to vote cancel - and we don't have 10 mature players which is why we are where we are in the first place. If we had 10 mature players - we wouldn't even need to cancel (it's a catch 22 ;-)

Having a zero or a low RR setting and low points entry = less dedicated players much of the time (not all the time - but much of the time) Also this site isn't for children / teens looking for a war game... because that's not what this is.
16 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2003: (not saying anyone here is a child or a teen - but if you are and you thought this was a war game... whoops ...)
16 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2003: that all said - sorry for essay - I think the game is turning better than it could have been - mexico is active, which helps big time
20 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 2005: New Peru here.
21 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 2006: I think part of the reason there have been so many NMR's is that the phase length is so short, this also helps explain the CD's from large countries.
22 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 2006: Hi all. I'm prepared to vote draw with a cuba elimination if you all are.

I'm attacking HL but he has been good ally and I did this based on assumption mec and Hl and pery were going to crush bc and form union
22 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2006: I agree with that.
22 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2006: oh - and texas elimination. he has never talked so he can disappear too (and cuba - no offence, you just joined ... and its draw sized scoring so there has to be some profit to a draw)
22 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2006: No offence - i just joined and Missed Dome turns in weekend because of 12 Hours Turn. I Would do the same.
22 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 2007: You are fighting well Cuba!
23 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2007: hey -what's with all the silent treatment except from Mexico and Cuba? ;-) Mexico thanks for talking to me - feeling lonely here in NY. Cuba - don't blame you if you stop talking to me - impressed at you coming in and playing well.
23 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2007: I think Texas thought this was a gunboat game.
25 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 2008: New York cannot win this round. but that does not change the fact that we must all attack him.
25 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 2008: What!? This is an outrage. What have I done to deserve this? Well ok . Guess I've been bad.
25 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2008: I offered a draw upon Tex and cuba departures. This is still on the table however will play in if a draw not agreed on.
25 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2008: I agree on a Draw I just think that you are going for the solo.
25 Aug 17 UTC ok - waiting on everyone else to agree to a draw. i've been making effort on purpose to 'not'' eliminate HL which I could have already done -- as I want him in any draw that occurs.,
25 Aug 17 UTC i love it how mexico still attacking BC ... sigh but funny
25 Aug 17 UTC GG all.... Axxl, have a beer on me - events sometimes take place

Knight - well fought, wasn't actually sure at end if i'd break through if i wanted to although i did still have some ideas.

Capt Brad and Uber - thanks for stepping in and playing when others disappeared. Glad you got some payment for it.
