As far as whether or not you find the comment I started with light hearted or not - maybe you don't get the point. The image of a cat taking a shit in a vase...it's basically how I feel about most of the smug intellectual bullshit most people post on these threads as they try to outsmart the next guy. As far as whether or not YOU specifically are regurgitating the things you just learned in class, it was *an example* of typical bullshit on here. God, you are so fucking dense. Obviously not everyone is a student, and a few people even have original thoughts that they formulated all by themselves. Others...many...are just on here to show off some book they read about something that means nothing to the world. As for you and your socialism, you are an example of someone who has "read up" on the issue...Oh GOODY for you! So you are still just regurgitating what you have read. And in general, it's a wonderful recitation of *theory*...and yet, like most people on here who seem disconnected from reality, you fail to grasp that the reality of socialism when it is implemented is a far cry from the Utopian theory, and yet you insult people, name call when you disagree, and fail to support your ridiculous ideology with true life examples of success. In fact, most of Europe is moving to the right and abandoning socialism, even as the US plunges towards it to the detriment of society. You are a typical example, even if you aren't a student. As far as you being offended by me! Haaa! I am LAUGHING MY ASS OFF at you right now. I can think of *many* times where your response to me has been simply to insult and attempt to degrade, instead of answering my points. You answer to my posts is generally along the line of "your argument is wrong or stupid"....but you never say why. If I disagree with you, I am wrong. I can point out examples and you simply ignore them. Nooo...when my errors or misconceptions are "exposed" they are never examined...they are just dismissed because you don't agree with them. That is hardly intellectual discourse. Also, such as the Jesus Camp exchange, I *did* acknowledge that I was wrong, that I did not understand it was a specific camp. As is normal with you, you *very* often fail to read posts before you fly off the handle and insult and dismiss. Or on other occassions, perhaps it is simply your inability to properly express yourself that is your downfall at times. In fact, it is very often *many* people's downfall, myself included. Someties sarcasm doesn't translate well. Sometimes you miss that a post is mockery. Sometimes you just fail to grasp an analogy. For example, when an atheist makes a statement like "Christians are child abusers" because they pass on their faith, or someone take an example of a *few* example of bad behavior by Christians and therefore concludes that all organized religion is bad, I will counter by saying that all atheism is bad, because I know some rotten atheists. When I take YOUR examples and simply rephrase them against you to show the error of you ligic, you start in with the name calling and the insults.
Despite you very high opinion of yourself, I find you to be just a typical, narrow minded idealogue that love to spout of Utopian theory while ignoring the reality of the world.
As far as why I sometimes don't respond when I am addressed...uh....maybe I have *logged off* you stupid twit! Maybe sometimes I just don't give a shit and never go back an check the thread, because my self-worth really has nothing to do with whether or not I can convince you of one thing or another. I go to the threads because I am bored. Sometimes I go simply and purposely to stir shit up.....which is remarkably easy with you pointy-headed intellectual types.

You do not give as you should if you truly believed in the cause of giving to the needy.
