You can use any thread you want. The live game advertisement thread is a request only.

That's what I thought too. After reading the posts yesterday it seemed that there was the group that didn't care, but were annoyed and those that thought posting and playing games was the point of the web site.

Well, personally, I'm boycotting any game advertised outside of that thread.

When I check the new games and there isn't a live game in an hour, I make one. I post in case someone else wants to play and they, like me, didn't see anything when they looked. After the live game starts, the forum post drops out of sight. I don't see the big deal. Boycott if you wish, that's your choice.

It takes half an ounce of intelligence to find it.

Obviously, you lack the intellectual capacity to press Control + F on your keyboard. Can't fault you for that.

@ rlumley- Let me the first to tell you get off your high horse you neither own this site or are even a mod.So do not go around and tell others what to do in the forum.

Live games are virtually impossible to get off the ground (well, the ones I have experienced) It seems a real effort to get 7 interested players. I don't see why people can't advertise even if it annoys some fools who want to debate on the internet. It is just sad and pathetic that people treat this site like their life. Yes, there is an amzing community here, but seriously just get a life. Ill put a smiley for good measure :)

You clearly fail to realize that if this forum was nothing more than a list of new game announcements noone will bother to check it. There's actually a section called Games, use the navigation above to find it. No discussions, just games.

I won't comment on the foolish part, as it would be brutally unfair of me, but surely it's sad and pathetic of someone to think his game has to be more prominently displayed that a discussion involving dozens of people. Tough childhood? Lack of attention from the parents? Here's another smiley for better measure :P

@Mr Pidge - If you look through the people posting in the serious threads you'll notice they're not the one kicking up such a fuss and do have a life.
Now, saying that, I'm in favour of the thread. As it is, lots of live-game threads pop up at the same time, so whilst they're both sitting in their own games waiting they don't see the other one. Also, instead of replying to their own thread to keep it high lots of people just make another thread in the hopes of bullying people into their games. This is not a case of that I know, and it is those situations that really annoy people.

@Ivo_ivanov Listen mate, I think 'Tough childhood? Lack of attention from the parents?' is supposed to be a subtle insult which hurts me deep, keep trying though (it is funny). I am not trying to get into an argument. So I'll just say, I only join live games when I see one on the forum. I don't actively look for one, I just look at the time of the post to make sure it is still available. This can't be done with a thread made a while back. Also, with just one thread it becomes a mass of confusion. Here you go :) Cheer up

@figlesguide I don't mean to insult everyone with that post, I am talking about the minority who seem to want to display intelligence with long, thought over posts. These people seem to think they are better than others.

You have a point there. I'm not a fan of having 2 (or indeed as currently 3) useless threads.
I've quite liked having the LPTP thread, but because its been a place for random more sociable conversations if that makes sense. I know lots of it is rubbish, just people shouting 'I win', but there are some decent sections in there.
I guess my prefered option would be to remove them all and instead have one 'Random Chat' thread.
