How much help can ppl give to others before it is considered breaking the rules? I was in a live game the other day and some ppl was just giving away their sc´s and dying. I checked the history of a these ppl and discover that person A has played all his six previous games with with player B and they have formed alliances or cd´d at the right time to help each other out, including a anon gunboat game. Further there is person C that has only played 2 games and both where with player B. In both games pl. C has helped pl. B to get what he wants and then cd´d when all threats had been eliminated. What is the general rules about this kind of play? all ok or foul play?

First off, thanks for not posting the names of the people you are suspicious of.

I recommend you email the mods if you are concerned about foul play. You should include the gameID so that they can look at them easily.

they probably have enough to deal with. that´s why I posted here to see if this sort of thing is normal?. if not i´ll email the mods

giving up builds to stop another players from winning (ie suicide when it lets you choose the winner) is a valid tactic.

(though usually it is the threat of this to break someone else's unbreakable alliance which you hope to see coming to blows...)

I cant get over the fact that people actually are prepared to cheat 5 other people of their time & enjoyment of the game. For what? Nothing. Not money, no glory, no specific boon at all..? Also, you are sure to enrage other people and receive angry mails. Maybe that is ultimately what get these people going?

no, they feel good for 'beating' other people, for 'beating' the system by finding an easy way to cheat. They think they are great, but in fact are simply cheating others of their fun.

we hate them for the scum they are, we like the challenge of the game, cheating is too easy, I could create 7 different account and play myself in live games all night. But it wouldn't be particularily fun...

@Fetteper: yeah, i'm just saying in theory it is ok to suicide under certain circumstances.

or at least to threaten to do so, (and sometimes you try to make your threats appear serious)

I agree that suicide under certain circumstances can be a normal tactic, but only when the game is out of reach for the suicidee, and where there is a reason to spite somebody else. However, no one is going to be in the position game after game, or early in a particular game. What you describe is clearly metagaming. Contact the mods.

I think that in some cases naming and shaming is fine. Other players need to be warned that certain players always work together. If pre-game colluders have the benefit of knowing who they can trust before the game starts, why shouldn't we at least know what they are likely to be up to? The case cited by the OP is pretty transparent - six games together - always allied.

judas and duzenko are at it again. After declaring that they won't play anon games together, they formed an alliance in a new game that I happened to be involved in. I was eliminated, due to not being able to communicate with Germany(judas) or Russia(duzenko). What the hell?

Another error due to latest upgrade!

I still can't get my smartphone to input orders with the latest update. It's worked perfectly until very recently.
The error message is "warning: JSON token was invalid"
Has anyone else been having problems finalising moves from their mobile?

if you want to play a every 5 minutes your armys and fleet move open this up!

Live game - Major connections problems

Missed Retreat phase?

Would one of the mods mind looking at this game? It appears that there might have been a missed retreat phase. One of Italy's units has not followed the retreat orders that were given.
