Major Mitchell IS a catholic high school horror story

Catholic school from 1st -6th grade was one long term horror story for me.

I got hit over the head with a teacher's text book for losing my book (2nd grade)
Hair pulled regularly by teachers to make sure I was listening (2nd grade)
Bringing in a Christmas gift of booze from my parents for my teacher (2nd grade)
Scoring the highest on the reading exam and getting placed in the remedial reading group because ?? (3rd grade)
My friend getting body-checked across desks in our classroom by the teacher to make a point (4th grade)
Being singled out by the PE teacher in front of class to make sure you wore deodorant (5th grade)

I don't understand. I thought Catholic schools were great. I never went to one, but the girls I went out with that went to them were very good dates.
