Well, we're off to a great start. We had exactly seven players, which was perfect. The game was played in a room overlooking the central waters of Amsterdam, where the old harbour used to be, and the weather was amazing. Diplomacy was conducted mainly in the sun with a beer, and in good company. The company was two (relatively) new players, three people with tons of experience, and the others in between. For privacy, I'll only post their username or first name if they don't have one.
A - Grey Area
R - Rene
I - Tom
T - TheWizard
E - Bernard
F - Gerben
G - TheMinisterOfWar
It was a fun game with the vibe of a friendly (we'll have to shake that in subsequent games). Rubber deadlines meant we only played until F1906, something all of us hoped to improve next time. There was also tons of meta - at one point the game was ripe for an R/T, but it later turned out that those (experienced) players had decided to not spoil the fun atmosphere. It was a back and forth game, with the final center count being:
A 5, E 1, F 10, G 5, I 2, R 4, T 7.
I might do a more extensive report in the morning if people are interested. Next game is on 28 June, so feel free to mark your calendar if you're around at that time.
