Trump pushing for fighter jet that is causing pilots to have oxygen deprivation. Save the military and killed the personnel. When the planes fall out of the sky we can buy more to make America Great Again.

@Randomizer the F-35 has cost us near 1 trillion dollar and has multiple flaws. The Hornet has some serious problems too but as someone with friends in the military, they have a lack of funding, are in need of repairs, and have trouble paying so many pilots (who they still want to maintain)

if you're against a bigger military, i can sympathize. i don't like wasting money, and i don't like having so much money not even have an end product. The F-35 is still relatively new, but i wouldn't keep all our eggs in one basket

I went to school with lots of friends in the military and the gripes were about not properly dealing with problems. Trump is talking about waste and over paying for equipment while ignoring known problems.

Oh i absolutely agree Trump knows nothing about how to handle our current military situation.

Well, I don't really see it helping coal companies in the short term pretty much at all, and not even a whole lot in the long term, either. So, yeah, its a stab against everyone. Basically a whole bunch of empty promises.

I don't see it changing the "economics" of coal mining in the USA significantly, or global trends in coal demand. It's not going to make coal sourced energy significantly more cost competitive against renewables & they have plenty of opportunities going forward to become even more cost competitive that coal just doesn't have.
Trump failed with his executive orders on immigration, his health legislation got defeated, his Trumpfacts and wacko allegations are exposing him to ridicule, so he needs something, a token win to deflect attention from his failures.This was a simple way to do that and appear to be delivering on an election promise. It does however send the signal that industries can pollute under his administration, and that just kicks environmental rehabilitation, protection and those costs into the future..so the USA will just have a bigger more expensive mess to clean up later.

Maybe Trump believes like Reagan's Interior Secretary James Watts that these are the End of Days. Therefore you don't need to worry about the future because we only have a few years left before the world is destroyed.

In related news. the Florida county is planning to charge a special duty tax on Trump's resort to cover the cost of added security that hasn't been reimbursed. Small businesses in the area are losing money because they wee forced to close as the nearest airport is considered a security risk.

I'm sure Trump is unhappy about how United Airlines forced that passenger off the airplane. I wonder if he'll send a "message" to United with a surgical airstrike on their offices?
