Is Everyone on this Site an N on Meyers Briggs? Why?
I read that 81% of the population tests as S(detail-oriented). So why are so many people on this site an N (big-picture)? I am a very strong N so I am curious

Wish corruption game
Make a wish, then watch as someone grants the wish but tears your life apart as a result. When you tear someone else's wish apart, you should post one yourself.

Remember, YOU MUST GRANT THE WISH! ...And you only get one wish in your post.

Fall 1903:

The Western Triple is pretty much fucked, courtesy of England. Since France and Germany didn't trust England not to rape them - and hey, who can blame them - they moved to protect themselves. This, of course, tossed any chance of moving units forward in the crapper.

Russia decided to kamikazi on England. The question is, will Russia hold STP, or will he move that fleet to Baltic? I assume the former, but in the end it doesn't matter - while STP isn't likely to fall this year, Russia will still need to do a disband. However, with Austria and Germany facing off in WAR, Russia may well be able to give everything *but* STP to the Med Triple.

In the Med, it's a race to reinforce. France is likely to move armies back south, so even if he loses Western Med, he'll be able to retain the SPA/MAR line. Stalemate.

Speaking of stalemates, besides the obvious attempts to break apart alliances - which probably did more harm than good, as England apparently was tempted to stab but did not due to some half assed 'diplomacy' on someone's part - both sides are talking about how their stalemate line is sexier than the other side's.

I suspect that the Western Triple will be stalemating up shortly. Assuming they can kill off the Russian fleet they should be able to do so, but this game is pretty much over. The Western Triple will hold tight, the Med will look at each other and regretfully decide a stab isn't worth the risk, and after a few years of masturbation we'll draw.

Exciting fucking shit boys and girls, I can see why I'm wasting my weekend talking about it

First off, I have a smoking hot wife. So, don't need to gawk at plastic boobies when I can get the real thing.

Second, I've been on the internet since the days I logged into a BBS with a 9600 baud modem. You think I can't find *porn* at this point?? The only things I *can't* find are things that don't exist, like yeti and TMW's aeronautics degree and your diplomatic skills.

"First off, I have a smoking hot wife. So, don't need to gawk at plastic boobies when I can get the real thing."

This raises two interesting questions:

1. Have you suggested she quit smoking?
2. When your wife had her plastic boobies added, what was your opinion?

"Second, I've been on the internet since the days I logged into a BBS with a 9600 baud modem. You think I can't find *porn* at this point?? The only things I *can't* find are things that don't exist, like yeti and TMW's aeronautics degree and your diplomatic skills."

Spring1904

So The Med Triple is now a quartet - in theory. Of course, in order for Russia to participate he basically has to have Turkish units up his ass, so - gee - I wonder what will happen if they actually do manage to break through the stalemate lines.

France, idiotically, did not move into a stalemate position. England is moving basically everything he owns to take STP, which is critical from a stalemate perspective. Technically he can take it this turn if he does it with the fleet and Germany plinks fleet LIV; a smarter move would be to wait until the fleet in Norway relocates to Barents and take it with one of the armies. Let's see how smart he is. The West still needs to force the disband of the Russian fleet as well, which is going to be the biggest 'race' of this stalemate setup.

France is going to lose either western Med or MAR next turn, unless the Med Triple is full of idiots. If he doesn't get his thumb out of his ass and move move those armies, he'll lose both. This of course also means England needs to withdraw from MAO so France can retreat successfully - if Italy had a fleet in position to stop that the MEGA ALLIANCE (dum dum dum) would be able to seriously bone France, but that army isn't going to be able to move anytime soon.

I grew up with no modem or computer. It wasn't until 1982 (my sophmore year) that our school got it's first computers students could use. Atari 400 & 800 system's, one Apple ][+, and an old DEC PDP 9. My first modem was a Hayes 1200 baud modem in 1985 that I hooked up to a Tandy 1000 EX, my first non-Z80 PC. I had a TRS-80 as well but it was CPM-based. All of this was when I was in college, so there you whippersnapper.

Strat, you are younger than me. I've done punch cards and single line editors on remote systems (RJE) in college where we had to submit our jobs to be one on the IBM 360 we had access to in Louisville (the college was in Cincinnati). Ever had some fucking computer room "operator" of incompetence extraordinaire spill your card stack just before loading it for your last run and have to spend your entire fucking afternoon resorting them because the cardsorter was fucking broken? I made that fucking bitch buy me dinner and drinks then fuck myh brains out that night. Of course, she was my girlfriend at the time. But still, *she* bought, and she not did all the work "on top" that night, but I made her blow me and swallow a second load at the end. Second best sexual experience of my life (first was my 21st birthday when she brought over a friend <evil grin>).

Threesomes are *far* too much work and drama; they get real old, real quick. One of the many reasons I'm not poly.

For the TMW-types out there: a "threesome" - which Draugner implied he'd enjoyed and which l stated I did *not* enjoy when I experienced it due to the aformentioned Drama - involves three individuals engaged in sexual activity. Gender is irrelevant, but most heterosexuals prefer the 'two' be of the opposite sex of themselves. Sometimes activity occurs between all three individuals, sometimes one individual is the 'fulcrum' and the other two individuals engage in activity with that person, but not each other.

Due to the atypical nature of the arraignment, setting up a threesome is an activity that generally falls to an individual with self confidence, a willingness to accept rejection if the attempt fails, and enough empathy that the other parties feel *valued*, and not just a masturbation aid.

In other words, don't worry about it, because that ain't you
Draugnar (0 DX)
08 Aug 10 UTC
Well, it was less drama cause the third was a one of her friends who worked with her when she was an exotic dancer/stripper/*ahem* before going back to college. So she knew it would be purely sexual and not at all emotional for her friend or myself.

If he wanted to keep them, it would be 50:50 Either they go for both with two, or the go for WM with 3. Both sides can make it such that only one person needs to change their moves in making the decision, so it is evens chance.
stratagos (3269 D(S))
08 Aug 10 UTC

Hmm, you're right; that's what I get for trying to do analysis on the phone.

For some reason I thought Western Med was boned no matter what; instead the Western Alliance can roll the dice. It complicates matters that its public press - france has to coordinate with england, which means everyone gets to anticipate moves

'Restart' vote option
I have found that in many live games that I play a round of NMRs or CDs in the first couple of years leads to a draw or cancel by the 7 players (or whoever remains) and the game is typically restarted. It might save a lot of hair-pulling if people had the option to just vote 'restart' and the server resets the phase to Spring 1901 Diplomacy. Thoughts?
