Not a big fan of equal weighting in any thread. There are several members I tend to pay attention to, and some who I have pretty much no respect for and generally ignore. In terms of giving extra weight purely because of being a woman, in this thread that makes some sense. But making a solitary webDipper a spokesperson for the whole of any particular group would be an error.

Vash you might want to catch up on the thread, a couple of feminists told me earlier that feminism is about fixing their conception of patriarchy's detrimental effects on men AND women, and that my skepticism toward this and belief that it is about framing men as the bad guy and women's issues as the solution is misplaced.

Your analogy here essentially states outright that men are the bad guys, hence my reaction. I am sure that if that's the belief you hold, you take no issue with my belief that feminism isn't about gender equality but about elevating women's standing and ignoring men's issues.
