Getting a second undergrad degree in a mostly unrelated subject
I think I may end up doing this 2-4 years from now, and I just wonder how common it is.

Also, a potentially stupid related question - how possible is it to get into a grad school in a subject you did not study in undergrad? Can you just take courses a la carte to meet the pre-reqs and/or beg them to let you give it a shot? All my research on grad school doesn't turn up much on what kind of students are accepted into the programs.

1. What does purple lines mean on the map ? I know that red means move and yellow means support move, but i have no idea what purple is.

New here: How do I join a new game?
I've been looking around the site and I'd like to join a game. When I click on the "Games" link I do see a bunch of games. Some are in progress already. Some have "join for x". I'd really appreciate detailed instructions, step by step, click by click. Details are important to me.

I'm sorry about that Goldie. On a related note no one told me I was spelling Walras wrong.

I did not plan for assigned countries for the study group game but I am asking the expert as we speak and will get back to you. My assumption was that because there is not one on one TA and the students should already have enough games under their belt to be familiar with every power that it would not be so.

I think it's fine to contact your student for your TA whenever you would like. However do not contact other students or other TAS about this game until it has officially started.

it is highly recommended that the student and the TA find a reliable real-time source of communication such as a Google hangout.

The first time we did the study group, countries were assigned- so that players could have the opportunity to play a country they found challenging.

Normally there's no communication about the game outside of the thread, the game, or PMing a professor (or between assigned students and TAs). I assume that's still the case here?

I couldn't find any evidence of the last study group being assigned to either but I have no particular objections to it. Later tonight I will find out everyone's preferences and release a list of assignments by the time that it begins.

Both games have started because all participants have joined. SOW game needs Draffin and Mintyboy for a voted pause and study group needs everyone, but Scmoo.
