How the hell does one succeed as Turkey?
I've done well as Turkey before, but rarely ever in high class play and never in high class play when I haven't jumped in mid-game.

Can anyone defend Austria when being attacked by Italy, Russia and Turkey?
Can anyone defend the idea that a "power" can produce a better situation for Austria by diminishing the attackers' SC control in exchange for increased unexpected imposition of diplomatic pressure on the attackers?

Can anybody defend stealing from the wealthy
Something that has always confused me is why people say taxing the wealthy is fair. How can one justify governments taking quadruple the money on those who earn twice as much as the middle class? How is it fair?

Chris Hedges: Hitchens, Harris and "Secular Fundamentalism Caused Oslo Attacks?
http://www.truthdig.com/report/item/fundamentalism_kills_20110726/
Quite possibly the WORST PROFESS IONAL ESSAY I HAVE EVER READ. Stylistically lackluster at best and completely banal at worst, with an emhpasis on terms poorly defined and adjectives poorly used, it's message is confused and WRONG--WHEN has Hitchens had "twisted yearning for the apocalypse and belief in the “chosen people?" UTTER STUPIDITY...

Drunken Diplomacy
I'd like to set up a live game for alcoholics at some point in the future. Every time you gain or lose a SC, you take a shot. Every time the year changes, you take a shot. Every time a nation is eliminated, you chug. The idea is that as the war goes on, you become more and more "drunk" with power... only for real.

An honest question for Christians regarding trinity
Trinity - god being one but three - has always and will always be something that I find impossible to swallow... but, for those who believe in it, it occurred to me that it is a model consistent with other Christian beliefs in a way that I hadn't realized before... I have a question about this...

What about Adam and Abraham? Were they jews? they were simply believers. They didn't even know Jesus existed, but they believed in God.

That's another question for you, if Jesus was God's "only son", how does Adam fit into it all? The first man ever created right? Was Jesus around at that time? there's so many questions I could ask...

Mujus, Jesus never said anything abruptly close to "I am the God". Infact he referred to himself as distinct from the "Father", which in other translations could just be "the God".

I quote for example:
"Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God."

He himself declares that he is not divine...

(John 20:17)
"The Old Testament gives the Law, which has two parts: the commandments and the blessing/curse that comes from obedience or disobedience to those commands."

Says who? Every Rabbi I know makes no such distinction and the torah certainly does not, there are 613 commandments in the torah, of which the ten commandments were only, well, ten.

"The New Testament clarifies that God gave those commandments to show men their need of salvation"

Oh I see even though the old testiment says repeatedly that you are to follow all the commandments. Has nothing to do with the fact that the Romans really wanted to eat pork...

@ roller, Genesis provides many foreshadowings of Jesus' coming, but you have to seek truth to find it. If you are not a truthseeker but a scoffer, the bible is clear where you are headed.
"Funny thing Santa, if he never came how did he renounce commandments? But I'm done with arguing. I'm only offering. That's how it works."

A man named Yoshu had a bunch of followers who worshiped him and built a new religion, to win converts (like yourself) they gutted Judaism and took out all the commandments that potential converts might get stuck on.

You have the right to believe what you want. Only I find it reactionary and angry, not Godlike at all.
"@ roller, Genesis provides many foreshadowings of Jesus' coming, but you have to seek truth to find it. If you are not a truthseeker but a scoffer, the bible is clear where you are headed."

Yes you need to read the bible in the exact right way including with mistranslations to find the forshadowing. No wories Mujus, being a member of a religion that doesn't attempt to whore itself out to converts throughout the world, in our belief system if you are a good person you can be "saved."
"not Godlike at all. "

Sort of like knocking on my door at 9 AM proselytizing and posting on a game forum telling me that I am going to hell because I don't believe exactly as you do, very godlike.

good thing he was an apostate.

Correction, exact words NLT: Mar 10:18 "Why do you call me good?" Jesus asked. "Only God is truly good."

26 Jul 11 UTC
Mujus, the bible the torah predict the coming of a savior, a messiah, not God Himself. there is a difference.

And Jesus said, "No one is good, only God."

hint: he's talking about the Father, not himself, if you read the context of the verse....
funny, I thought he was god...

He is the foundation stone of the heavenly temple, and many have stumbled on that stone.
Mujus (1495 D(B))

Actually he was pointing out that he is God, since only God is truly good, and the man speaking to him called him good.
rollerfiend (0 DX)
26 Jul 11 UTC
no he isn't, he is literally talking about the Father.

read it again, "Why do you call *me* good?" Jesus asked. "*Only God* is truly good."
then he shouldn't have had any problem with him calling him good because he is god right?

what you say is totally contradicting itself...

Yeah, the Torah predicts that God himself would come down to deliver his people, in Exodus 3.
Mujus (1495 D(B))
26 Jul 11 UTC
He didn't have a problem with it. He was pointing out that the guy was calling him God.
excuse me, how about a whole citation, I don't deal in christian jibberish.
Really because it seems to me he was correcting the guy

So who is David talking about in this verse from the Psalms? Psa 110:1 A psalm of David. The LORD said to my Lord, "Sit in the place of honor at my right hand until I humble your enemies, making them a footstool under your feet."

agree with Santa, it's a pretty straightforward verse

not to gang up on you or anything but you don't really have an answer do you :p
Mujus (1495 D(B))
26 Jul 11 UTC
No more citations. You can look them up yourself at a number of bible sites, including blueletterbible.com, in numerous versions.
I'm sorry,

1. Psalms is not in the Torah
2. We believe in the Messiah, but we also laid down the situation where that messiah appears, and last time I checked no lambs are lieing with any lions. And to answer your reply, no one ever said a thing about a messiah appearing twice.
Mujus (1495 D(B))

Jesus asked "why" did he call him good, since only God is good? He's forcing people to decide who he really is.
so the guy Jesus is speaking to obviously has the wisdom of god if anything he says is obviously truth...

The bible is a progressive revelation. Not everything that was prefigured in the Old Testament--the Torah, the poetical books, the prophets--was fully explained until the New Testament. Meaning the New Deal--that no more was a repeated blood sacrifice necesssary for temporary forgiveness of sins.

"Jesus asked "why" did he call him good, since only God is good? He's forcing people to decide who he really is. "

you have got to be kidding me.

the correct answer you should give us is: "It has to do with the trinity"

atleast that's what I've heard from priests and other learned scholars (not that you aren't qualified, they just are probably more qualified...
