12-hour high stakes WTA gunboat?
Greetings all. I've set up a 12-hour per phase WTA classic gunboat with a password and was hoping to entice some of the more experienced Diplomacy veterans to join up for a high quality game. The entry fee is 333 D. Shoot me a PM if you want in. If you meet my moderately rigorous requirements (you've got some skill and don't make a habit of resigning games) I will send you the password. Thanks.

Hello, I'm going to be at the family cottage with no internet from Afternoon of June 30th to Evening of July 4th. I'm in 5, 2 or 3 day/phase games (none are anon) that I would need a sitter to enter 1-2 sets of orders for if I don't get pauses. anyone willing to help with that? Please PM me.

I wish he would stop occassionally living in foreclosed homes and "[being] a hobo." Then again, it could be worse, he could have become religious or something like that.

This Time On Philosophy
In "The Odyssey" by Homer, Achilles, the elite hero of the Greeks, leads a large mass of unquestioning, robot-like followers, the Myrmidons, who are classically described as being "ant-people" in their nature. If we were asked which we'd rather be, a hero or a drone, most of us would choose the former, "drone" doesn't sound appealing...and yet, politically, we prefer the rule of masses over the few...so, which is preferable? Why? Elitists, Pluralists, ho! :)

@fairguy, i suggest you spread webdip among other finns if that's your hope.... tell them there is a competition against the swedes danes and norwegians and that your national pride is at stake! (oh and also organise a Scando-finnish face-to-face euro-regional tournie :P )
orathaic (1009 D(B))

oh, and use webdip as a training ground.

Geo, I'm just checking this out, very cool! I even threw a "Mad" photo in, I was showing off my (first) Achilles Rupture Repair scar and took the photo myself, sorry the beard isn't any bushier, as you had imagined, a la Karl Marx. :-(
Geofram (130 D(B))

Yeah, that's a beard Marx might of had at age 8. Tsk tsk!
Doesn't living in Oregon give you the go ahead to look like a lumberjack?
MadMarx (36299 D(G))

It took me six weeks to get that rusty fuzz to fill in, and that was back in 2006 when I was a mere 33 years old, I'd still be growing it out if I were going for the lumberjack look...

Come on, people, let's get everyone on this map, it's way too friggin' cool!!

I'm there - also a bit isolated I think - no one else in France!
I'm in. I put the marker outside my favourite Indian takeaway (www.balticuisine.co.uk/index.html). There's a glass wall between you and the chefs, so you can watch them making the meal for you right in front of your eyes. The aroma in there is mouthwateringly fantastic.

also I know there are more of 'us' in east europe and Samerica.

@ural...

On the first reply, Geofram said: "You have an hour to edit/delete your marker before it is permanent, if you screw up because you didn't read my instructions and its past that hour, just message me. "

So just send Geofram a message.
Geofram (130 D(B))

Yeah, I have edit/delete powers on the map. I can't move markers though, so if you need something like that (Crazyter!) then we'll have to delete and remake. If it's in the right spot, chances are I'll get around to adding your link and city if you failed to do it.

I'm too busy adding links and locations to people's dots that don't read the instructions! It's all fixed now, we're at 109 markers with all the spam deleted.

i'm pm'd it to ten people, but i specifically chose people already on the map :p
