@_I ride pigs
If you bothered to go back to the first page ? of this thread and read Zultar's post it's fairly obvious as to why krellin got himself banned. My conclusions after reading Zultar's post were that krellin repeatedly, persistently kept "breaking the rules" in his forum posts, that after many, many warnings krellin had continued to post offensive stuff in the forum, that seems to be one major factor. The second issue that I think was another "nail in the coffin lid" was what I will describe as krellin's "personal war with the Mods in the forum" and it's my opinion that Zultar regards much of what krellin put in posts or emails to be not truthful, not factually correct, and quite possibly offensive and abusive towards the moderator team.
Now readers can try to easily dismiss my comments as "brown nosing the Mods" or because I was a critic of krellin.
To the first, I can suck up to the Mods in countless ways so I don't need to do so here, plus I would NOT be an orphan,alone, in holding the view that overall the Almighty Mods do a bloomin' lot of work to keep this site running and they do a good job.
To the second, yes I disliked many of krellin's political opinions, etc. But what krellin was incapable of doing was controlling his use of offensive language. Carumba, his frequent use of the F bomb astounded me, yes I use the F word but sparingly and I will usually use f*** or flippin' to imply it.
Another word he used too frequently was the C bomb. I hold the view that this word is unnaceptable for use in forum posts. I do not care what people think of Hillary Clinton, I certainly do think we should never tolerate the use of the description "crooked c*" in the forum to describe any person.
As someone else remarked, if krellin said the sort of stuff he posted in this chap's restaurant, then krellin would be given two choices, behave better, or leave.
If krellin was in a nightclub "back in the day for MajorMitchell" and I observed him making offensive remarks that used the C word to other patrons or bar staff, then there wouldn't have been a considerate warning and request for better behaviour. No it would have been a simple introduction, "We're Security for this licensed premises, meet Frank, you are barred from these licensed premises for offensive behaviour, Frank will escort you off the premises. That's it. One of my golden rules for nightclubs was to have the security team really focussed on making the venue " women safe and women friendly". So ruthlessly ejecting patrons for offensive language/behaviour was part of that.
How you talk is important. You wouldn't have lasted long on my team if you'd come to me with one or two worried young ladies and said " Some slapper is chucking her tits up in the toilets and her pals want us to help get her to a taxi, can you tell them to handle it themselves, I've got to do..blah blah"
"A lady is indisposed in the ladies powder room. Her friends have asked for our help to get their friend to a taxi." was how I wanted these things said to me, not to please me, but to show respect for our patrons.
It's regrettable that krellin by his own actions forced Zultar to act as he did, that's my opinion. Zultar is best placed to have the most accurate information, he'd have access to a lot more than us players/members. One thing seems clear to me, that is that krellin had been given many opportunities over a considerable time to "improve his behaviour" but continually failed to do that. At some point with an uncooperative recidivist the inevitable decision has to be made.
