Portuguese speaking players
I was wondering how many Portuguese speaking players are in here. Would like to create a game spoken in Portuguese if there are enough players and enough interest.

Sardinia and Corsica
Has anyone else noticed that Corsica is colored green for Italy while Sardinia is left as the neutral salmon color? This strikes me as being incorrect since the Kingdom of Italy definitely included Sardinia while Corsica was under France during this time period. Was this error part of the original board game?

New Game
I made a new game with 115 dip. It's called "Sorry Mario, but the Princess is in Clyde." Well...she's always been there. No one takes it, so that's why she never gets saved. ;_; Didn't you notice that England is pink like Peach? Anyway, join the game and save her... :)

Does poor spelling matter? Discuss
Someone spells caricatures incorrectly and it starts a debate. Should it? Should people pick others up on poor spelling when it is clear what the word should be? Is poor spelling a sign of low intelligence?

I think there probably is a correlation between watching porn and having sex at an early age. I am only hypothesising, but I think that the hypothesis is a strong one.

I will call you pretentious because thats what you were being, and sometimes its far prevalent on this site, and dingleberry dont be a dick
trim101 (363 D)
19 Sep 09 UTC
@TGM unless you take the view that people who have sex at a young age are well having sex so don't need to look at porn as much as people who are not having sex
trim101 (363 D)

sorry for triple posting, i knew what he was getting at just the sentence bothered me
Trim, so you can call TGM 'pretentious' but don't like when I infer you are either silly in defending TGM? ( I know you understood the sentence, so I am not inferring you are stupid, just silly)
TheGhostmaker (1545 D)

Do you really think that using the word "causation" pretentious, when it is the commonly used term in logic?

Gawd, if we aren't allowed to use normal terms I'm going to have to start calling integration, "finding the formula for the area under the graph", or to be safe, "finding the thing that turns the numbers along the bottom into the size of the space between the curvy line and the bottom-line"
trim101 (363 D)
19 Sep 09 UTC
ok this is fairly ironic or im actually being stupid but i dont think that sentence made sense dingleberry

It must have been in that poorly conceived and executed video SSRF linked to in here where it mentioned porn is evil. But yeah, I guess I fed a troll. Bad Rob! Don't do that again!

Yes, but I doubt that that's the case.

@troll101 ...er... trim101 - He was saying that there were apparent correlations between early sexual activity and viewing pr0n, but that the cause was not the pr0n (as the interweb net people type it).
TheGhostmaker (1545 D)

trim, seriously, what the fuck are you on about? I'm just using the language in a normal way to say what I mean. Seriously, just because I have a different vocabulary to you doesn't mean I'm pretentious. At least I don't have a holier-than-thou desire to go around correcting people for their English (even criticising it when its correct).
@trim101
@TGM your proving my point thankyou

Actually Trim, I think you are proving mine.
trim101 (363 D)
19 Sep 09 UTC
Yes, but I doubt that that's the case.-i was asking him why he doubts what i said, he never posted any links/proof to show the correlations so im assuming its his own opinion, which is far enough, but i was asking why he thought that. There is nothing trollish in that at all.

But if you are talking about when i was questioning his first sentence i said i understood what he mean
trim101 (363 D)
19 Sep 09 UTC
*meant. @Ghosty Yes, but I doubt that that's the case-why?
trim101 (363 D)

and if you and dingleberry dont see how your being pretentious then fair enough you dont see it, i just think you are
TheGhostmaker (1545 D)

Its my opinion that those teenagers who have sex probably don't have any problems with pornography, and so watch that as well.
trim101 (363 D)
19 Sep 09 UTC
ahh i see what your saying, so it has no real link with sexual gratification, i mean with "frequency"
TheGhostmaker (1545 D)
19 Sep 09 UTC
You seem to think that using one word, in this instance "causation", or even just defending the use of it makes you pretentious. I doubt that there are many learned people who aren't pretentious under your standards.
trim101 (363 D)
19 Sep 09 UTC
look i tried to leave this and get back to the topic so im not going to respond to your last post Ghosty
'learn-ed'? Now you're being pretentious. I believe you mean 'educated'. :P

I've never understood the term educated/learned, who does it refer to guys? Am i educated/learned? I've been to uni and count myself therefore educated, not really learned though. Sorry am just wondering who the term refers to. Cheers

BAN HIM BAN HIM BAN HIM

Lol I'm kidding.

Personally I hate it when people call me pretentious because of the words I use. You don't see me saying to other people that they sound like simplistic idiots because of the words they use. It's not my place to judge someone by how they talk. The only time I would say anything is if I didn't understand, I would just ask them to explain what they meant.

Likewise if someone asks me to explain what I meant by something, I'm always more than happy to oblige. I'm not really sure why saying "correlation is not causation" is pretentious. That's like... a phrase that people use. Even if cause DID mean the same thing (which, though really close, it doesn't), it wouldn't be the same thing here, since it would make the phrase that everyone knows less rhyme-y and alliterative.

So... anyway back to porn.

I wonder when this will be adopted here; in the 'Orders' that you can review after a turn, it notes when an order fails by underlining it and writing 'failed', such as: (Note this is a new map)

# The fleet at Gulf of Pelusium move to Alexandria. (failed)
