I feel this will make that happen.

If we actually care about it and set aside a day to do it I feel its possible. I wont win but Id love to play.

Plus the brackets could be random as hell and 4 great players could end up in a game giving a ton of incentive to win.

I've finished quite a few of the games I've had with Webdip folks. Just not recently.

There are legitimate reasons for not sitting through a game of civ until the victory screen appears though. I think you still played through a game then.

I remember one tie though: I think goldfinger and I finished simultaneously: he had a Diplomatic victory and I had a Science victory.

The details are fuzzy. I think I had planned to finish exactly a turn earlier, but didn't properly understand that you couldn't just buy and assemble all space parts in one turn so we called it a tie since I could've done it.

Official Rules for Webdiplomacy Civ 5 Championships

Map Type: Pangaea
Resources: Strategic Balance
Sea Level: Medium
Difficulty: King
Map Size: Tiny
Pace: Quick
Barbarians: Normal
4-player games
Players will be expected to exchange contact information on Steam and coordinate optimal start times. Games should begin April 10th or later. Any interested parties in starting early may agree as a group of 4 to do so. I “brainbomb” will be spectating all games as a 5th player to monitor Scores. Please let me know when you plan to start and I can watch the games.

Round 1 is groups of 4 face off.
The clear winner from each bracket will advance to a final Championship.
Round 2:
The runner up in scoring will be allowed a chance to enter a “play-in” WTA to make the championship as well.
Here is how this will work.
If for example, ghug, vash, HR, and Chaqa all finish 2nd they will all advance to a Play-in game to have a shot at still making the final.
All games will be saved, and a host will be agreed upon within the bracket.
