Out of curiousity, how are preparations going for the Olympic games? I've got to imagine that tickets to the football matches will be at a serious premium.

Preparations are going well. We have Oscar-winning Director Danny Boyle directing the Opening Ceremony. The construction projects are all ahead of schedule. There are loud voices moaning about it - as usual - but I think it will be very successful, especially considering it's being done in such dire economic times.

Actually, Olympic football will be quite easy to get tickets for - as an under-23 tourney, no-one cares. And it's Team GB, not England, Scotland, Wales & N Ireland, so the fans can't really relate.

The preparations are on track timewise, but the budget (unsuprisingly) is at the top end of expectations.

I agree with Sargmacher - there is a noisy minority willing it to fail, but I'm hopeful it will be such a resounding success that their fuckwittery will be drowned out
