Thanks Bo Sox. Surely the most salient lesson from this tragedy that EVERYONE should understand is that moderation is required, self discipline is essential, so can we ALL try to find ways to have a civilised discussion, even when we passionately disagree.

I do not know enough about this tragedy to feel comfortable making any comments beyond this observation. The civil authorities must have known there was a real risk of violent confrontations associated with this event. The use of motor vee~hickles as "weapons" against crowds is also well known. So I am wondering if the Civil authorities were negligent in not blocking off the surrounding area to all traffic, and not having more Police, Security, or the State National Guard present.

I dont feel white supremecist movements help white people at all. I dont think they help anything whatsoever. The status quo is nudged along by redundant behaviors and radical hate groups are an element of disorder/chaos and the very antithesis of status quo.

Things like wage inequality for example are neither perpetuated nor aided by white supremecy. If anything wage and gender inequality are further stained by hate groups fighting for those policies.

As to Leon's "jaywalking" nonsense. Excluding the politics and this particular tragedy, but looking at jaywalking and a driver's responsibilities as a hypothetical. ( and I understand that different jurisdictions can have different traffic laws )
In my country drivers have the responsibility of "driving to the conditions" So even though the speed limit in a suburban area is 50km/hr, in suburban areas there is always the risk that children can run out onto the street chasing a football or each other, and appear without warning from behind shrubs, parked cars etc..it's a driver's responsibility to have taken that risk into consideration when driving along suburban streets, and to have "adjusted their driving" in consideration of that, and other risks.
Some people think that just because they are driving they have all these various "rights" and few, if any responsibilities.
Leon seems to think that if he's driving, he has an axiomatic "right to run down any jaywalkers who step into the path of his motor vee~hickle". I disagree.

I think a driver has the responsibility to avoid running over pedestrians, cyclists, even if they're "doing the wrong thing". One traffic law in my country is that a driver should not try to avoid running over an animal if in doing that there is a risk of causing a collision with another vehicle or pedestrian. So before a driver " swerves to avoid a dog, cat, Skippy the kangaroo etc", they have to first be certain that in doing so they do not risk a collision with another vehicle or pedestrian.

So if a driver enters an area where there are crowds of people blocking the streets, then it's on them to show some common sense, find an alternative route, or pull over, park and wait for the crowd to disperse. Only an idiot starts blowing his car horn, revving the motor, abusing people and exacerbates the situation.

Actually jaywalking being illegal in no way excludes a driver from responsibility. Using a car to punish a jaywalker is motor vehicle homicide. Lol
