Just a question, but bo_sox has voted twice already. Does the second vote over-rule the first?

That is, he voted for TrPrado, and then a little while later voted for Toemato. Does that mean his vote for TrPrado is withdrawn and the vote for Toemato counts, or, once we've voted, must that first vote be the one that's counted?

Like, if you've put your ballot paper in the ballot box, you can't get it out again...

You can vote as much as you want during a phase - the most recent vote will be the one counted.

Ok, checking in to the thread this morning. Not much has taken place yet, but here's what sticks out to me so far:
-toemato confident start to the game, buddying others with comments like "my thoughts exactly bo" (page 1) and his comments to Yoyo (page 2)
-Chaqa's opening statement about being VT but doing his regular thing of attacking ghug.
-toemato votes for Chaqa and 6 minutes later Flum mimics toemato's vote.
-Demon puts in the first serious question of the game (page 1). Well observed.
-JamieT keeps popping in to the thread to ask questions he could easily PM to the mods or to post oddly-formulated accusations (see below).

-Otherwise, it strikes me as a quiet start to the game so far but I guess that's because it's the holiday weekend. That said, there are 6 of 19 people who still have not posted yet (Balki, Maniac, ND, OB, Vecna, and y2k) and I'm particularly surprised that Balki, ND, and y2k haven't jumped in, they're usually very keen to immediately get involved in Day 1.

@Toemato: Your first comment in the game was "Flum you had to be that one person." What did you mean by that?

@JamieT: Please could you explain this statement, and why the confusing use of triple negatives: "Fluminator and Toemato would not have such strong opinions if they didn't know something we don't."

@brainbomb: was your reasoning and vote for ghug serious or a jokepost?

@flum - something doesn't make sense. You say you won't read the PR options in the hopes that you town slip. Which options were you referring to?

I've read that statement like 6 times and still can't figure out what it means. Were you not reading the role descriptions? The possibilities of which role combinations can be present and which cannot?

This smacks of the BS claim that someone made that they didn't read their role PM a few games ago (was it ND or maybe Damian).

Please explain exactly what this statement means.

Alright I won't lurk a full 24 hours of D1. My first suspicions in previous games:

M10: tvrocks (correct)
M12: trprado (correct)
M13: balki (correct)

For M15, my first suspect is definitely ##VOTE Fluminator. While I agree with OB that it's rather scummy to claim very early in D1 not having read his role PM, he's off with linking it back to last game as being scummy, as the claim came from PR SaladinSmith while he was on the chopping block. Very different situation here. The real comment that struck me was on page 1, where after voting Chaqa he says he has a trump card to prove he's town. So what is the motivation behind a comment like that? The motivation to me appears to be a subtle way to prevent people from voting him. Scum would obv like to do that. What's the town motivation? The follow-up in the next two pages doesn't help, Flum seems anxious to avoid his family to play this game, but he's asking pretty much zero scum-hunting questions. I realize it's early in D1, but I definitely sense Flum trying to establish an early town presence and that's it, no real impetus to find scum. His interactions with bo_sox48 and brainbomb sound like garbage filler to look active.

My early town reads are Toemato, Chaqa, DemonOverlord, Jamiet99uk, TrPrado, guak, and wjessop. These are weak viby town-reads that obviously need vetting, but I sense them making honest observations/comments from a town perspective. Again, these are fairly viby.

So none of the seasoned players have yet advised our newbie to stay hidden if he is a town power role. Interesting, we may have a top draw mafia player.

Also this is interesting: -

Good to see that y2k has started the game with his blinkers on again and is trying to use the argument 'I've been right before, therefore I'm right this time'. I would caution you of going down that path y2k.

Wow. Maniac, that's really weird -- I've never seen someone do that before, to reference a quotation which you've manipulated to make someone wrongly appear scummy. If we're going to have to check every quotation letter for letter this game will become a lot more cumbersome -- it seems like a silly strategy because anyone checking would flag it straight away: Maniac did you think that people would take your word for the changes you made to toemato's script?

why didn't you flag it wjessop? why would you take for granted someone quoting a post like that with capitalization messages without going back to check on it yourself?

@y2k: I'm on my phone: I swiped back to page 2 and glanced over the messages, saw capitalised letters in toemato's post and swiped back to page 3 and posted my comment. I didn't notice that Maniac added a few extra ones -- quotes aren't something you can fake (usually) so it's never been something to question before.

k i can accept that answer. he didn't even just add capital letters, he had to lowercase the N. there's no N in power thief.
