Fun Fact
Lots of people assume I'm a musician due to the way I look. Compliment? Insult? Fun fact for sure!

Perhaps I should either get a haircut or become a musician/singer, so no mistakes are made :-)

Game Processing Down, and I Have a Live Game
So, during the problem maintenance, I joined a live game that should've started an hour ago, so I've been waiting for the game to start. Anyone know what will happen once things get working again?

The Force Awakens looms. And, after I just rewatched Star Wars Phantom Menace, wondering people's thoughts. Favourite film? Is Phantom Menace full of racism? Are the prequel trilogy really much worse than the original trilogy?

I'm working on some statistics reporting for webdip, and I'm interested in what the forum thinks: Are "Gunboat" games just games with no messaging, or are they games with no messaging that are also anonymous?

Rainbow facebook friends
so, i have looked through my friendlis and out of around 98 people, i only have 2 people who have rainbow picks. I am in the center of utah in a community of around 70% mormons, so mine is probably way lower than average. I want to compare it to how off from the usual it is, so how many rainbow friends do you have?

The Battle For Marriage Equality Must Continue
There is still one large group of people whose marriages are not recognized because of discrimination that has a long and ugly history

I think you should go to all state records and compile the data and tell us. You did give an assertion because you have no facts. You referenced an article that derives its theory based on education, not race or socioeconomic status.

Wait a second, did Thucy just agree that poor people don't get married because they can't afford a wedding? An you call that inequality? Well then let's start protesting Mercedes for making such expensive cars, they should be available to all people regardless of their income!

Poor people don't get married because they can't afford a wedding? Ahhhh ha ha ha. STUPIDEST fucking thing I have ever heard.

You actually can get married WITHOUT a wedding. It's a simple matter of filing some legal documents and standing before a magistrate. It really isn't that expensive.

But...you know this isn't about getting married....it's about IT ISN"T FAIR that we can'thave exactly what everyone else has in terms of material goods.

But...you know this isn't about getting married....this is about a desperately CORRUPT culture amongst certain populations of the poor, who make a choice to not get married, who make a choice to have children out of wedlock, etc....Pretty fucking funny when the claim is they can't afford to get married....but poor people sure do seem to have a knack for squeezing our babies!

Just a weeee bit of hypocrisy here....because babies are a hell of a lot more expensive than a marriage license...and the CHEAPEST thing of all is a fucking RUBBER.

Don't see why you need a contract for a ceremony.
If you only care about the ring, the vow and none of the legal stuff, you can just say 'I do' and leave it at that.

I know the contract would have any impact on how much I would support my wife and so on.

Guys and gals... there are two purposes to sorting out the legal side of things. The first is in the sight of the law their are rights and duties attached to the state. Like visiting in hospital, access to kids if it breaks up, etc - you can replace the civil implied contract without getting married by drawing up your own contract, but you need to realise that all the stuff in the civil contract has been tested in law (crucial in the UK, where law is as much precedent and customary law as it is legislation), whereas your unique contract may be in cases of dispute subject to legal vulturine fucktards at a point when you have diminished emotional or physical resource. But signalling exit from that state is equally important and you really need to agree what happens in that circumstance in a legally binding compact. Love doesn't hack it, but a greedy ex-wife does...

Paying for the wedding is a tiny part of the explanatjon. Yes you can just get a contract, but the main thing is that people who are not financially stable do not enter marriage because they are unable to attract a spouse in that conditon or feel they cannot support a spouse if they cannot even support themselves. The cost of the wedding may come into play - it is easy to say you can just get a contract, but it is also easy to say you do not need a funeral. Yet it is incredibly insensitive and crass to tell poor people to just disregard cherished traditions we all share because they are poor. you can't blame them for not wanting to. That said the cost of the wedding is a trivial part of the explanation.

About children: here we go again with the racist, sexist, classist (3 for the price of one!) bullshit breeder argument.

1) piss poor sex education (you can thank krellin's allies for this) means a lot of people don't know how to use birth control or contraceptives properly

2) it is the worst form of fascism to imply people do not have to right to reproduce. It's a fundamental human right outlined in the UDHR. You don't have to be married to have children. In fact if you interview many of the poor single mothers out there you find they are a single mother because they can better support their children that way. When you're poor, a spouse often turns into another mouth to feed, rather than being an asset.

I wouldn't expect insensitive pinheads like Krellin to have the ability to empathize with poor people's decision making process which can at times seem counterintuitive to one who has never had to deal with true poverty. But there is always a logic to it when you dig deeper. Bottom line: poor people's poverty is not their fault. It's time to put that propaganda back where in belongs: medieval times

Why would a woman want to marry a poor man?

I agree that rich marry more than poor do... that's natural. I think your argument that white people marry more than others is...weird.

But really I just think it's hilarious that you are taking this thread in the direction of national socialism.

It's doubly hilarious when we all know perfectly well that you are a CIA 'asset', just like your Daddy was/is. And when you are not busy 'picking oranges' (code for assassinating south americans) you like to come on here and sharpen your wits by pretending to be socialist. You mad cat, Lol. I love you and I accept you.

GUYSSSSSSS

socioeconomically, the black and mexican community are less well off than the average white person. I'm sorry, it's pure facts. I don't like it, but IT'S TRUE.

ALSOOOOOO

the appeal of marriage is ten times less without a ceremony and a ring, so yes if you're poor it is less likely to get married. Is that a bad thing? more of a coincidental thing, but it's not like we should have charities for weddings, it is non-vital.

The fact remains: marriage equality cannot exist without addressing our runaway income inequality. That was my original point and I stand by it. Apparently some Fuckheads around here are too ignorant to know things like the relationship between race and affluence. Other fuckheads think a single outlier negates a worldwide trend... Lmao.
