The Chargers are the last team standing in that crazy race for the 6th seed in the AFC. Aaron Rodgers rained all over Da Bears' parade, leading the Pack to victory and setting up another classic Niners/Packers clash...only this time, at Lambeau Field. A typical Cowboys/Eagles clash ended in the typical Cowboy way...but it was Orton throwing the season-ending pick this time. The NFC: SEA, CAR, PHI, GB, SF, NO. The AFC: DEN, NE, CIN, IND, KC, SD. The Playoffs...PICK 'EM!
Here we go. Sad the Ravens didn't make it, but that's what happens when your receivers disappear and the O-Line does not do its job.
AFC
Chiefs at Colts -> I go CHIEFS but it be close, real close
Chargers at Bengals -> CHARGERS.
Chargers at Denver -> DENVER. Or at least they SHOULD win
Chiefs at Pats-> Pats will mess it up. Unless it snows. Then the PATS win.
Pats at Denver -> PATS. It comes down to who's defense is better, and if Brady's receivers can catch the ball.
NFC
Saints at Eagles-> EAGLES. Saints can't handle without their precious dome
49ers at Pack-> PACKERS. It's cold, it's Rodgers, and that defense might show up
Pack at Seattle-> SEATTLE. It's at their place.
Eagles at Carolina-> CAROLINA. Cams too good, and that D
Carolina at Seattle-> SEATTLE. The defense is to much for Cam, and Wilson is the good Wilson.
Super Bowl
Seattle vs Pats. SEATTLE. Too good. However, this years Super Bowl will have a twist. The weather will be an issue. Whoever adapts, wins.
A note about the AFC, if the Colts beat the Chiefs, then the Colts go to the Super Bowl. And then lose.
I'm still pissed that the Bears didn't get in. and the Cardinals. They're better teams than the ones who were allowed to sneak in (forgive me Eden).
Wildcard
Saints (6) at Eagles (3) - I would say that this really depends upon the weather. I know it's supposed to snow Friday, so if the conditions are still bad Saturday I'll take the Eagles. But I think the Saints defense is going to be the difference maker here. SAINTS
49ers (5) at Packers (4) - 49ers win it without too much of a problem. Pack didn't deserve to be here anyways. 49ERS
Chargers (6) at Bengals (3) - Inconsistent is how I would describe the Bengals offense. On paper, the Bengals are the better team, but I'm going to go on a limb and say that the team that beat Denver will beat the Bengals. CHARGERS.
Chiefs (5) at Colts (4) - Colts repeat their win of two weeks ago. Andy Reid shouldn't have rested his starters last week. COLTS.
Divisional Round
Saints (6) at Seahawks (1) - not in Seattle they won't win. SEAHAWKS
49ers (5) at Panthers (2) - This one I hate calling. The Panthers defense can be absolutely dominating. And I have to pick Cam over Kap. PANTHERS
Chargers (6) at Broncos (1) - This has the potential of an upset. I don't think Peyton will go that easily though, but who knows. BRONCOS are still the better team, so I'll stick with them.
Colts (4) at Patriots (2) - I can't see a dome team winning outdoors in the middle of an awful New England winter. PATRIOTS
Half my picks will be wrong by this point
Conference Championship
Panthers (2) at Seahawks (1) - Again, home field advantage is just too much here. I don't see it happening. SEAHAWKS
Patriots (2) at Broncos (1) - The Patriots secondary has proved that they can shut down the Broncos WR's. I'll bet on that happening again. PATRIOTS
Superbowl
Patriots vs Seahawks - I have to pick the PATRIOTS here. Seahawks will be away from home, and the crowd is going to be overwhelmingly New England fans.
